As soon as the world froze over half the people got up an walked out the cinema! The bloke next to me was in hysterics and I have not met one person who thought that ending for terrible or at least completly bizzare!
There's that other movie I keep forgetting the title of, it has Samuel L. Jackson and has loads of marines running around in the jungle killing each other.
It turns out no one actually died and the guy they thought was black turned out to actually be white and vice versa.
I love a good twist but it just had soooo many. Undercover oranisations were involved, then they were double agents, then they were triple agents , then they were all a big lie, then they were criminals and then they were just a group of people living a house helping SLJ to retire
I wasn't convinced
Has to be "Volcano" with Tommy Lee Jones.
An entire 100, (or how ever many, but its a lot), storey building falls directly on top of him. Cue sad, sombre music. Then a little movement, and yes, our hero manages to push a gazillion tons of rubble off him to emerge completely unmarked...
That piece of utter sh*te starring George Clooney and someone else, chasing a nuclear terrorist. He has a bomb that will blow up New York, it's so powerful even the detonator will destroy Manhattan. They find the bomb, disarm the nuclear part, but cannot disarm the detonator which blows up.
So Mahattan destroyed and they are obliterated?
Naw..they just jump out the nearest window and that saves them....
I was actually forced to sit through this entire stinking dogturd of a film by the wife who wet her knickers every time George hove into view....:o

I did like the end part of volcanoe where the two soldiers are under the building which is about to be blown up. One's legs are trapped under a pillar and the radio is buzzing "unit 2 are you clear?".
The trapped one tells the other one that he can make it but (even though he can get away) he tells his mate he'll stay with him then says "this is unit two we're clear"..............brilliant scene.
Is the movie you were talking about "Sum Of All Fears" where the bomb goes of at the Superbowl coz I liked that.

also in volcano our hero is suspended on a ladder i think over a river of molten lava.its so close to him that in reality he would just vaporise with the heat.but not a bit of it, his hair isnt even tossed.
what about the end of spiderman the movie.he has this little cutie gagging for some action and instead he gives her some speech about having to be above all the ordinary stuff in life and how he is going to save the world.
and then he just walks off leaving the poor girl standing there !!!!

what about "dusk til dawn" with george clooney, tarantino and
your man from up in smoke.the movie is a top notch chase type film until they visit a bar in the middle of nowhere.a girl gets up to do an erotic dance and then the whole film goes upside down with aliens and the whole 9 yards.i think the first director got sacked halfway through the film and the 2nd guy they got in was
a nutter.:D

Been a while since i had seen it bit IT was a great file until the last 5-10 mins when they totally ran out of budget, crap ending.
Also ... cant remember the name but Bruce Willis is in a train crash and walks away from it and Sammy LJ is a guy made from glass bones or something and keeps planning bombs and bad things. I think Bruce cant swim or something aswell ..... OK maybe the whole thing was crap but the ending was brutal.
And the titanic ..... the ship sinks, for god sake. Couldn't they have just finished it with everyone getting off the boat in New York or something ... i hate sad endings !!

How about this .... Celtic team and fans all on the tracks and two huge trains comes from both sides and minces the lot of them and the colision of both trains, the fuel, it just burns the remains to ash.
Actually .... if you used different camera angles, you could make a whole film on it. "Sell-Thick, Die Die Die !!!" could be a good name for it, whatdaya tink ??

Ok Connor I didn't write that "obde" as you call it-you might realise that it was in a thread, something along the lines of "cruellest chants".
I hate secaterianism, I've seen the hurt it causes and I regret posting anything that makes me seem to hold opposite views.
You also fail to point out that other posts in that thread included phrases such as,
"up the peace process!"
and other anti-secaterianism comments.
The fact of it is violence sucks, in all froms, whether your doing it because the person is a Prodestant or because they are a Celtic fan. I have loads of friends who are Prodestants and British I have loyalist friends from Belfast and I have NEVER been involved in ANY secaterian march, rally or display of any sort.
It all boils down to the fact that whatever I may have posted about chants or anything else in quotation marks, I would give everything I have for there to be peace in Northern Ireland tonight!
The weren't nice chants, they were sick, they were curel, hence their place in the cruel chants section.
I am sorry for coming across any diffrerntly to how I am but this Friday I won't just be mourning those who died on Bloody Sunday but showing my respect for those who died in the Aftermath including IRA bombing campaigns throughout the trouble-I'll respect the people who died no mattter what shirt they wore or which church they went to.
That's just who I am.

agree completely, people have tried to tell me this was an upbeat film, it wasn't.
happy Gwyneth dies, sad gwyneth lives with the loss of a child. i don't know how any one came out of that show with a smile on their face.

that last planet of the apes ending was a stinker alright. the film was progressing nicely, a nice re-imagination of the original (plus it had Estella Warren in it). then that ending made me want to hit someone or something. it was one of those that the more i thought about it, the less sense it made. counselling has helped, but it still bothers me today.
plane crashing in las vegas (with near zero fatalities) in con air also angered up the blood, but i hated that film throughout so it would be wrong to focus on the ending.

But she meets James Nesbith in the lift and the same line which brought them together in the first reality is used, I think the inference is that it'll all happen again in the 2nd reality.

sure he's depressed too having watched Gwyneth get crushed by a bus, while pregnant with his child, what about his second reality?

The Titanic. That was such a b@stardization of a major tragedy in its real sense, that I thought the f*cking ship wasn't going to sink at all and there was going to be a happy ending.

I'm not having this criticism! :) As a comic nerd I can tell you that it was perfectly correct for Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson not to get it on. They're much older before they realise that they do in fact want and deserve each other and even before the first movie was released the sequel was being planned.
And he doesn't tell her any of the stuff about needing to stand alone and save the world, that's a voiceover. He just tells her that he'll always be her friend and I for one found it quite sad... :(
Just like the scene where he comes home from his High School graduation ceremony and gets a bit upset cos his uncle Ben wasn't there to see it... :( :(
