if I remember correctly last year droghedas opening matches in the champions league werent shown live last year.theres no guarantee that the rte will show the match live..

That is about correct. In recent years CL games have been shown & also 1st round proper of the Uefa Cup.

Doesn't always go that way though. Our game in Odense was on Danish TV and wasn't shown here

And free to air on 19.2° east satellite

Few of the Dublin pubs have a motorised satellite dish for football on 13E and 1W. If RTE don't show if they might spin the sat around 19.2E for Bohs fans ;).

I dont think the game is live, I think Powers just said it was live because they will be betting in running on it, they have our game,derry game and cork game on Friday as down as live but its not live just that there will be bettting in running available on these games

Apparently it's Montrose policy not to show a LOI team in Europe unless there's the chance that they'll get thoroughly spanked. It's all part of a ploy to keep the ratings for their Saturday night soccer show you see.

I've also heard rumours that there's UEFA plan to get Bohs to the CL final, but RTE are showing a Man U v Celtic friendly that night... ;)

Well i have a capture card that i have been using to copy old rovers tapes from VHS to DVD so if i can get that working i can stream all the games on one of those sites that i find the Ireland links on. I have that ORF1 channel and might have some of the others if they are on TV.

Is there any chance of renaming this thread "LOI European Coverage" and sticking it to the top of the page with links to any online streaming, all radio coverage, TV times for games and highlights shows, text updates, and maybe online newspaper reports and previews, etc?

I'm sure there'll be more interest in LOI this week and it would be handier to have all this info in the one place, for both interested beginners visiting the site and experienced Foot.ie-ers?
