KELLY: Nomination

The nominations for FIFA badges regarding eircom League referees and assistant referees have been announced.
John McDermott and John Ward - both from Dublin - have reached the retirement age for FIFA. Paul Deering of Sligo has decided to relinquish his assistant's badge to concentrate on refereeing.

The priority for the referees' panel is to hold onto the referee's badge and the two assistant's badges. The remaining members of last season's FIFA panel have all been nominated again.

Along with those officials, two have been nominated for their referee's badge: Dave McKeon of Dublin, and Alan Kelly of Cork, one of the youngest referees in the League.

In addition, there are four new nominations for assistant's badges: Barry McDonnell (Louth), Kevin Murray (Waterford), Martin Moloney (Kildare) and Joe Cassidy (Athlone).
