Read a brilliant article in the sunday times a few weeks back about the 1988 Olympic 100m final. The Lawyer who represented Ben Johnson is trying to organise the final to be rerun in Soeul on the eve of the Greek games opening ceremony later in the year. Could be very emnarrasing for the IOC.
Since that race was run, only two of the eight finalists have not had their names linked with Drugs allegations, and Carl Lewis who was eventually awarded the medal had failed a Drugs test immediately before the games but it was hushed up and glossed over. The Lawyer was more or less saying that Johnson should have been allowed to keep his medal because rather than gaining an advantage he was just about keping up with his competitors in the Drugs stakes.
Only Carl Lewis and Linford Christie have not signed up to rerun the race, if it goes ahead, it could cause red faces for a load of people just as the olympics kicks off.

you just cant continually mess around with your metabolism (in such an extreme way) and hope to not suffer for it somewhere down the line.
pantani was well known for tampering with his red blood cells(the ones that carry the oxygen in your blood).on one medical scale,(that measures this kind of thing)
the average man is 16 or 17,with pantani his was regularly 85 or more.by the way the limit for race day in the tour etc is 50!!!!!!!!!!
so what does that tell you.it tells you there is huge scope for cheating and still getting away with it.
apparantly pantani was always one of the last to hit the starting line as he would be hooked up to a salene drip right up to the last
minute in an effort to thin his blood back down.(to be under the 50)
p.s. the source of a lot of this info is david walsh who knows whats what on the tour

I seem to remember Barry Ferguson getting booked at least 4 (?) times in the one Old Firm game. Now that was impressive.

Did anyone mention the Tony Adams/Steve Morrow incident in the 90s... not sure which FA/League Cup Final it was, Steve Morrow scored the winner, and Donkey Adams lifts him up in the celebreations, and drops him, leaving him in hospital! Bizarre....

He actually broke Morrow's arm in that incident. IIRC, it was after the League Cup final in 1993.
