Anyone watching it so far?

I know it only really gets interesting in the second week but I enjoy seeing the early form of the top players.

I think Murray has a great shout of winning it. Despite winning the French, I don't think Federer is playing as well as a couple of years ago.

So I tip Murray for the mens and Sharapova for the womens (I just don't like the Williams style of play)

What's yer thoughts?

Fed on grass is completely different to any other surface. Nadal is the only top player he has faced so hard to gauge how he will do against Muuray/Djokovic but I think he should be too good for either of them.

I'll be surprised if Sharapova wins after such a long lay off. Womens is really wide open- quite tough to call. Don't think it will be Safina though as she's not as good on grass.

Sharapova beaten by unseeded Argentinian Dulko - shows what I know!!

I'd still love to see anyone but the Williams win it. They don't seem to be bothered for the rest of the year and let other players become 1 and 2 in the world and then when Wimbledon comes around they step up their game. I suppose it shows how weak the other womens players are at the moment.

He didn't play so good last night. Though he did battle through. It was great entertainment under the roof - the atmosphere sounded excellent.

I still think he'll make the final - he'll probably play Roddick in the semi's which will be tough but he's a better all rounder than Roddick.

He's Scottish, they don't have their southern neighbours 'pedigree' at penos :p

Murray's serve was awful from the third set on. He'll need to step his game up to progress past the likes of Roddick, never mind beat Federer

Ya his first serve killed him. It had been excellent in the previous round. Fair play to the other fella, great effort in difficult surroundings for him. Really wanted Murray to lose, something about the way he reacts to winning points, trying to get the crowd going n stuff, just don't like him really.

I don't think he does it to get the crowd going in fairness. His "oomph" is definitely internalised. He's pretty entertaining to watch and I wouldn't mind him winning any grand slam but Wimbledon.

Don't think I could stickl that lovefest...

I agree that it probably is but I still find it hard to look at. Would like to see him blown away.

Feel a bit sorry for Roddick, this was a great opportunity and he is unlikely to get a better chance to win Wimbledon with Nadal out. Always thought he was a classy guy after he had match point against Verdasco, Verdasco was attempting to save the match point on his second serve, when the linesman called the serve out. If this call had held, Roddick would have won the match. Roddick motioned to the umpire, pointing to the clear ball mark on the clay indicating the ball was in, and the call was consequently changed. Verdasco went on to win the match.
