Any preferences on who we get in the first game? Home against Bray would be my choice: it would give us a good idea where we are for the season against one of the teams who are likely to challange for the division, not to mention that it would mean that would only have to freeze in Bray once. ;)

That's one possibility. Personally, I'd like to see us play someone crap, in the hope that a 4-0 win would set the tone for the season.

(Watch as Emmet franticly searches for some wood to beat on.)

D'ya think there's much chance of us getting Man Utd?

Nah, they always get a newly promoted team on the first day.

Schumi, I notice that the notice on the door of the canteen in the Eng building for "Brecfeast rolls" has been corrected in red pen. Do I detect the work of a master pedant?

Monaghan have a serious number of suspensions for the opening day (8 I think) - get them away first, run up a decent score against their reserves and get the confidence going from the off.

Harps are missing a good few as well, might be more advantage to playing them with some missing.

If they did then none of the usual suspects are reporting it. Hopefully over the next few days.

It didn't come out during the week because the AGM was called off due to the merger talks. Think I heard someone say they are holding a special fixtures meeting on the 12th Feb. Then others are saying they aren't finalising the fixtures until they know who will be eligible to play in which division.
