Brought my 2 young lads to Friday night training @ Avondale again tonight and was pleasantly surprised to see Stuart Ashton and Denis Behan there as guests of the Club.
They spent the hour going around the groups ( U-7's, 8's, 9's and 10's ) training the kids and generally having a good time. The youngsters were all over them .......... really good to seethem being treated as stars.
Have to say Ashton and Behan really played the part and looked like they were enjoying themselves.........well done lads!
Once again evidence of City selling the Club to the public and increasing the bond between the supporters and the Team.......great stuff!
At the end they produced the U-21 Cup and had photo's taken with each of the teams and individuals etc. The Echo were there also .......... so keep an eye out during the week.
Behan told me afterwards ( just like Greg a few weeks ago the they were all on their own personal training programs aat the moment and were all pumped up waiting for the season to begin.
Have to say it sounds really promising listening to the players at the moment.
Roll on March 21st ............ it seems like it is taking forever!
