Ray Shah - the English Irishman on last year's UK Big Brother - is a good mate of mine. Through him, I've had a chance to meet most of the other people who were on the show. To a person, they've all said that their time "in the sun" has been drastically reduced on that which they'd expected, purely due to the number and range of these shows now on TV and therefore the number of other ordinary people given their five minutes in the spotlight. Here in England, we have "The Salon", "Shattered" and all the pop academy b****cks as well as BB. If the public are getting sick of these shows, this doesn't yet seem to have filtered through to the programme commissioners.

I quite like the American show 'Survivor' that TG4 are showing, it's the best of a bad lot.
There's too many of them and the concepts behind most of them are brutal. I avoid them when i can, but happened across that 'Shattered' programme last week, it must have been a TV first, use of the TV as a mirror, people on both sides of it trying to stay awake, load of cack.

he's not liked a lot over here for wearing the english jersey on bb, he's just another person to me, i'm not into this oh he's famous rubbish.
its like these fools who try and go to reynards or lillys, sad really. been there a few times and all people do there is stand around and try to be cool. most boring nights ever.

 Have to disagree with that one now. One of the best programmes on the radio. He was crap when he first came on, but started getting into the job eventually. He's cracker.
How about Noel King, Dermot Keely or Glen Crowe, Pat Dolan?
All EL icons:D ;)

BB still does it for me. Thought that Shattered was decent as well (they didn't sleep - perfect for late night viewing :) ). The recent American reality TV has been crap, such as Rich Girls, Simple Life, Joe Millionaire.
What did everyone think of Cabin Fever? Thought it was decent enough meself. Would love to see an Irish BB sometime soon.

Jebus, this one nearly slipped me by. Only reality tv show I'd watch is one where all the reality tv "stars" are put in stocks and kicked up the arse continually by people that hate reality tv shows. Add in all the boy bands and I'll sponsor the show.

I for one am against these tv program's and was shocked to see fellow London Irish nutter Johnny rotten going on ' i'm a celebrity get me out of ere', the last thing i'd think he'd go on, mind you i hope he thrash's da gaff, but still bad form going on it.

davros/the tv audience is not quite ready for such a spectacle.i know these are the days of broadminded tv,what with the advent of "channell 4 "and the anything goes now mentality.
but hold on for a minute, the idea of you, lopez,dg,conor and the
northern brethern cast away on a desert island, and left to your own devices, is just too much to ask the public to observe.
the mind boggles at the thoughts of some of the arguments,
davros:"that end of the beach is mine"
dg:"no way man i was here first, and by the way half that stick insect your eating is mine you greedy b****rd.

really surprised Sandra won, at least it wasn't Lil (whiny cow). i was disappominted that Johnny fairplay didn't get to the final two, i would have loved to see what he would have come out with.......

This coming from the guy who watches "Wrestling."
There seems to be nothing on TV now but soaps and reality TV shows. I find myself watching ads and Sky News so that I can avoid most of it.
TV3 is more like ITV3.
How many times have I looked at that channel, switched the crap off only to find that the exact same thing was on ITV.
Irelands Independant TV Station? What a joke!
