The Cork City Supporters Club are delighted to announce a new fundraising idea due to happen on the 20th, 21st, 22nd of July 2009 called PPS200.
PPS means Pin Badges, Pennants and Scarves and 200 means that over 200+ items of Pin Badges, Pennants and Scarves will be up for auction on EBay to run for 7 days starting on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of July 2009 to raise much needed funds for the Cork City Supporters Club to Host the 2009 Annual Hall of Fame which will take place in November.
Since 2006 the Hall of Fame has honoured Cork City Legends like Dave Barry, Patsy Fryne, Declan Daly, Phil Harrington, John Caufield and Pat Morley and 2009 Hall of Fame will be more special especially on the 25th anniversary of Cork City FC.
Money raised from the Ebay auction will be used to fund the staging of this years Hall of Fame and the CCSC is delighted to announce that FORAS will also benefit from the proceeds of the 2009 Hall of Fame.
The type of Pin Badges, Pennants and Scarves going up on Auction on Ebay will be mostly from the League of Ireland football clubs in all divisions and from the IFA clubs in Northern Ireland and European clubs that were associated with Cork City FC and other Irish Football Clubs both North and South in either the Champions league, UEFA and the Intertoto cup qualifying tournaments down through the years.
The idea came about from the success of the FORAS auction that took place on the Cork City fans Forum last year that this year not only the Cork City Supporters Club will benefit that FORAS will also benefit from the proceeds of the Hall of Fame.
We have a good response from various Football clubs like Waterford United, Limerick FC and special thanks to Cobh Ramblers who donated a scarf and a pin badge along with European Clubs like Valur of Iceland and Hammarby of Sweden who also made a donation of a few Pin Badges.
The CCSC will like to send out a message to all supporters that your help will be greatly appreciated if you want to donate either Pin Badges, Pennants or Scarves and to play your part in helping out with the auction.
