Just got into Aslan fairly recently and can't get over the fact that that they're still playing in pubs most weekends.IMO these lads should be millionaires.
Was at them in Vicar Street over Chrimbo and they were unreal.

Cad a ceapann sibh?

overachieving and overated if you ask me.

One or two decent tunes but not enough to justify their still together and touring, and still managing to get people come out to see them. A pub band is a fair reflection of their level, I think they're rubbish to be honest.

Utter ****e!
One "song" endlessly recycled over and over again.
Plus I don't really think their image of the Anto "hard man" Gurrier is particularly appealing to the very many people not into ghetto chic...;)

That's what I was gonna say. I'd prefer to see Bagatelle to be honest! :p

Excellent Live seen the 3 times over the years. Usually sell out the Johnstown Inn for a couple of nights. Well worth a look. I think Christy has kicked the H for a good few years. But he should buy a pair of shoes:D

I thought the same way before, that Crazy World and This Is were their only good songs. Then I came across another from Made in Dublin and realised they aren't.
Crazy World would probably be my least favorite on it,very catchy though.
I guarentee that if you had a genuine listen to them, yous'd be won over:cool:

Dumb name alright, but guess it could have been worse...could have been Reepicheep...

Though in the talking mouse's defence he was quite a character. :)
