Cheers Dodge. Good article. He doesn't come across as too happy about the situation he finds himself in, does he?
Interesting what he says about training when you've a tiny squad of players.

I know I should be able to answer the question, but...who pays the wages for him for the next month???

The people who knew he was an international when they signed him.

There is a compensation system in place if a player is injured on international duty, though.

i for one dont blame the lad. without doubt the most talented lad in the squad but has to spend most of the time chasing lost causes. he is not getting the service this year and i dont believe he is too happy. himself and raf have all the ability but its wasted if ya cant give them decent chances

Passed the Showgies twice yesterday and the first time 11.30ish there was the first team doing training drills and numbers looked fairly slim.

Went by again about 2.30ish and looked like Doherty and doing a fitness test/bleep test with Gerry and I presume Cookie (was driving so couldn't see Cookie just presuming he was still there).

Cook has been doing some UEFA Pro-licence course in Malahide the last couple of days. Londonred bumped into him in the pub out there last night.

Neither , hopefully Cook picked up a couple of tips on the course that can be used to get a result in Cork , Doolin ain't the brightest tactically so hopefully he can outfox him.

Many of the overseas players that have played in the league have traditionally based themselves at one of the four clubs in the capital city, Dublin - St Patrick's Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians and Shelbourne - but Boco found himself moving further afield.

Apparently Sporting Fingal aren't a club then. :D

I feel sorry for the lads. I really do.
It can't be easy with such a depleted squad.

From the boco article

We started this season with 22 players and now we have 16.

Have six players actually left???

Wouldn't be far off , Almeida and McTiernan left ,Butler and Parkhouse are injured plus a few of lads only train part-time considering we seem to have a few random injuries every week and a couple of players suspended not surprised we only have 13 left in the first team squad for games recently. As noted before by someone a lot of the suspensions are picking up for accumulation of stupid bookings which could be cut out.

why has almieda being let go yet butler is still on the books?apparently mauro was going to be out for 2-3 months but butler has been out longer and presumably still picking up wages??i hope it's not a case of the liverpool boys looking after each other!

The 'Almeida gone' thread should answer that for you.
