Sorry if I post this in the wrong place. Just thought it might interest a few people on here.

The bookies had him well down the list but appparently he was considered the last time the job came up too and he's well respected there. I couldn't see him turning it down if it was offered to him.

I can confirm that neither myelf, nor Jeff Kenna, have been approached, officially, by Hibernian FC regarding their vacancy at manager (The Irishman)

This rumour is back again.
Not often a League of Ireland related story is near the top of the news on Football365;

Good for him and for the LOI if he gets it. Plus it allows Rovers (should they win the league) install somebody to take the club to the next level and solidify the situation.

Who would they get to do that?
Pat Fenlon maybe?:)

Rico?

Agreed, Rico - coincidence or what - watching the game online and listening to the man himself! Rico, 4 years to bring through the youngsters then put him upstairs. Can't think of a better bet for it.

O'Neill for Hibs. He wont come within an asses roar of getting that job. Much too big for him. Again last night he shows himself to be clueless. Long ball merchant.

O Neill will never manage in Scotland or England. Some of his decisons were bizzare to say the least on Tuesday. Not just his team selection/formation. I think we will win the league in spite of him

Stranraer will probably need a new boss, so........

No matter what he put a decent side together, got them to the finishing line, now this year it just means crossing it. He can't drop it two years in a row.

In his defence, he didn't drop it last year.

He was always chasing ans seeing as it was his first year, it was a decent achievement

O'Neill

Strengths:
Man management.
Building team spirit.
Motivating players.
Signing good / the right players.
Organising players into an effective well organised team.

Weaknesses:
Gets it wrong tactically sometimes.
Too cautious/defensive (rafaesque).
Rotates the team too often.
Plays a long ball game against physical teams.

All IMO of course.

Were they not leading the league with 4 games to go?

IIRC, they were, but Bohs had a couple of games in hand, and duly took enough points from them to make sure Shams couldn't win the title. That's only a hazy recollection though, I was looking a lot more closely at the trapdoor opening beneath Bray than at the title race.

Edit: I can't find any mention of this on the internet, so it's looking likely that I imagined it!

Extratime have all last years fixtures and tables etc.

They lost the league by 4 points but took only 4 points from their last 4 games and Bohs took 10 points from them. 2 points ahead with 4 games to go. Certainly wouldn't say they totally choked as no one expected them to win the league at all last year. If they don't win it this year then that would be totally choking having had such a large lead

Pats beat Rovers on the last day but the league was already won by Bohs. They definitely turn up that day.

Either way Bohs were favourites all of last year and won out well in the end. Couldn't blame O'neill for that.

Now if they choke this year...

At first glimpse I see it as "Harps boss linked to Hibs job" then I wake up and realize it was just a dream, a wonderful, fantastic dream.

Rovers went top when they beat Bohs last year from what I remember but it only lasted a week or two. Bohs were top for most of the year.

shams went top when they beat us in Tallaght (when an asst ref was NOT hit with a plastic bottle :o) with about six games to go. They remained top until Cork City won in Tallaght in (I think) the 3rd last game.
Bohs won all games after the Tallaght defeat until the dead rubber last game at Bray.
