Cant see anything other than a Pats win, no strikers, no Scully, no Paddy, no Yellow (who else have i left out?)
Limerick 4/1 if you fancy adding to Paddy Powers share price
As Uri Geller would say with Positive Mental Attitude you can achive anything :D, there'll be huge huge pressure on St'Pats and Kenna, and also feck de league this season we'll just concentrate on FAI cup and europe for a quick fix to all our problems

Looking forward to this one. Handy enough 11-3 win, taking us well on the road to Europe for next season.

Right, I don't know how many of ye usually come up and join in the singing, but all are always welcome, especially for the cup game on Friday, if we get behind 'em, then we can expect an adrenaline-pumped performance and possibly a shock result. All up to top corner of the shed on Friday so? Just ask for LFC-Zulu!..

Also gotta love Castletroy Blue. We might be laughing at you now, but one day you'll put a tenner on us beating Bo-ez 43-6 and then you'll be the one laughing. ;)

Hea all, for Fridays cup game vs St Pats, the cash and carry car park across the road will be open from six pm. €1 per car but come early as there are only 150 spaces. No cars are to be admitted to de jacks on the night. Season tickets will of course not be of use at this game and no free or comps will be issued for this game. Tickets can be bought for ticketmaster,or from a caravan on the green area opposite the entrance. volenteers are asked to come early.
So we've to pay at caravan rather than hatch at entrance. Why is this?

Common sense id say.
Hardly want hundreds of people down a narrow alley waiting to buy tickets.

I was thinking of bringing a mic and 30 watt subwoofer to do some human beat box action.

I'm going to bring along P Diddy so he can give the 'Notorious' chants that extra oomph.

Live commentary "should" work :D
Maybe a tad biased and doubt the lads will know any limerick players names :o

Limerick 0-1 St.Pats
Limerick played St.Pats off the park in the first half and should have put the game beyond them with 3 or 4 goals. Scanlan was very unlucky with a lob that just bounced too high over the post. St.Pats got the goal which made them comfortable enough despite a few half chances from Limerick in the second half that scared Pats a bit. The ref as usual was muck. St. Pats are a very poor premier team that are lacking in any ideas on the pitch, it was all hoof ball. From what ive seen UCD and Waterford are better teams. John Lester is up to the same thing he was when he was with Limerick last, pass him the ball and he'll just put his boot behind it.

Lester started at centre half but funnily enough Pats got stronger when he moved into the middle of the park...

Pretty much spot on. Except we had 3 players playing that would be considered first choice (and Quigley clearly wasn't fit). Also we played hoofball because the pitch was shockingly bad.
No doubt that Limerick should've been about 3 up before we scored.
best of luck for rest of season

Limerick had about 5 or so regular starters missing aswell but I thought it turned out to be a very good game.
Agreed, pitch is poor, looked alright tonight though compared to what it was in previous weeks.
So unlucky we didn't go ahead with Scanlon's lob and then I was sure Davy Ryan would score when he played that one-two with Paul Walsh.
Not to be I suppose. I though Pat's showed their class taking their chance in the second half and defended well after that.
Good luck in next round.

yeah, every team has injuries. I was just replying to "St pats are a very poor premier team comment". There's absolutely no way we should be judged on tonight

I think it was Jamie Wunsch in the second half that was three yards out as well and the ball got caught under him.
Still, great performance from the lads. Wouldn't it be typical if Pats get Rovers in the next round? Still, Pats were decent second half, poorly defended set pieces tho. Still, as L37 Ultra says, best of luck in the next round. :ball:

I understand but I wouldn't agree ye are a poor side.
In the second half, Pat's played some good stuff. I would have considered them as one of the better footballing sides in the Premier but all things considered its the result that matters and Limerick weren't clinical enough.

Hardly empty in fairness but putting a E2 charge on it ****ed a lot of regulars off so they didnt go in.
Right about the crowd though, just short of 900 is poor given the game that it was.

Ya atmosphere lacked big time. worst thing is those lads tat would not pay always give out bout not supportin the club and they would not even pay 2euro! bit of a joke at same time tho. pile of little scuts got in by throwin one ticket down and reusing it for another person! i hope its not like this v shels next week. the atmosphere was affected big time over it!

Have to comment about the reaction to the charge into the stand. This is my first post on here but I've only missed two home games this season. 15 quid got both myself and my young fella seats on halfway last Friday which is simply great value. (12 quid in, 2 for myself and 1 for the young fella to get into the stand)
1 euro for parking at the cash n carry was also a great idea. All in all I could now recommend LOI ball as a night out to a friend - something that I couldn't do after the UCD game when my son was struck by a (luckily empty) Caprisun and a coke bottle flung from the back of the stand by unsupervised gougers narrowly missed my 6 yr old daughter.
The positioning of our 'kop' to the left of the LDMC building for the second half so that they could engage with the travelling support was also great. I know that children have to grow up sometime but I for one can do without having to explain the chants at times....................:)

Just pointing out here, that stand is the reason we come up with a lot of our results, ask the players. I'd no problem paying the 2 quid, I did, and then I went behind the goals because a few of us singing behind the goals would've been better than 2 or 3 of us in the stand. (I think ).. I don't know where people stand on going back to the shed next week, but I'll be going with the majority anyway. Hope it rains. Everyone in the stand then, and Shels get soaked. :D Ad another question. Since it's free to get in at half-time, is it free to get into the stand then too?

The shed keeps the noise in and hence the atmosphere is louder. Shame that this might be stopped! On a brighter note i was sittin near Pat Scully in the stand. He was freakin out most of the time! Gas out
