To be fair we had to go down and get a result before and we did, anyway maybe they would welcome a replay back in the showgrounds for an exrta few bob, we won't say anything if they don't :).

i hate to see people saying that we are out already. anything can happen in the cup. we have a fighting chance. the two league games were very close this season. does anybody know if boco will be around for this game or will he be away on world cup duty?

Awful draw, but you you never know.
We beat Cork on the way to our last triumph ! (trying to looking for positives)

Not a great draw but its 11 V 11, no reason why we cant get a draw.

I saw Cork last Friday and they were extremely impressive. Murray and O'Halloran gave very little away at the back. We'll have to be on the very top of our game to get a result.

Rovers Maniac

We went down with a scratch team a few weeks ago and came close to getting a point. Cork will do well to pay the revenue and their players so you don't know what the mood will be like by then in their camp, also there will be pressure on them to get a result.

it will be a tough game but isnt that the beauty of the fai cup anyone could win over 90 mins. we will be the underdogs but thats the way we like it. does anyone know when the draw for the league cup is gonna be ???

I have two words for you.

Drogheda United.

Do you remember what happened once the moral fell outta the arse of the camp? How many of those players are in Cork now?

Kind of hope not, TV games stops people from travelling, although with it being as far as Cork, doubt many will travel anyway.

€19 flight from Dublin return is'nt bad, although €44 or whatever the non-student price is for the train to DUblin, is quite off putting.

Tough trip to TC..is there defo tv coverage of A game in this round??

AFAIK Boco is away for DERRY, CUP(Cork) AND BOHS games next month.

Probably couldn't have got worse luck. A trip all the way down to Cork. I just knew the way the draw was going we'd get a hard one. It was the same last year... i remember loads of non-league teams were left and it was us and Shams also still in the pot, and wouldn't you guess right guess who we drew, same as tonight!

Can't see past a Cork win. Honestly i cant see us going down there and getting a result. Pity

Rovers1
25/05/2009, 11:07 PM
Jesus W Christ, whats with the negativity here?? Not singling out anyone btw.

Remember when we went to Derry? How did that finish? Everyone (including myself) thought we'd get beat, some here thought it would be a trouncing.

Have a bit of ****ing belief!

Wexford youths beat cork in a cup already this season, not till the final whistle is it over.

Plus there's a chance they won't be around for the next round, so we might get through by default:D

2005 iirc. Cork 2-1 Rovers. Kupuno Low penalty put us 1 up. I think.

O ya remember that now. One of their goals came from a corner (their first iirc). I was particularly annoyed because the ball wasn't inside the corner circle thingy:mad:

Given its mostly the same team who won the Setanta CUp under worse circumstances last year I think we'l be fine. This has been going on for a while now, as well as problems with wages earlier in the season, and were still top by 3 points.

The lads down here have been exemplary in their behaviour both this year and last and I can't see Faz and Connor making a dent in that.

There's no comparison between the reactions of both sets of players.

ps: wot's with the web site - i seem to have lost the "results / fixtures" section? thought it was a mac issue but 'tis the same on the work PC!

also "firefox" keeps trying to report the site as an "attack" site & close it down - you have to over-ride security to open it!

any ideas?
