Hello, I'm an Aberdeen fan living in Dublin, just heard that we may take the player O'Flynn on trial?
All I know is that he's a striker, what's he like? Age, height pace etc, Would he be good enough to make the step to the SPL?
Good luck with next season

Dandy, he's sh it. Absolute muck. No way could he make the step up. The best thing the Dons could do now would be to forget all about him and go loooking elsewhere. I hear there's a handy little striker up in Galway. No, I have to say you'd be better off without. :)

Since you asked a fair question I'll give you a fair answer Dandydon (though I do admire LFCIE's post above - no agenda there :)) O'Flynn is still only 22. Physically I'd put him at about 6'2. He's quite strong with that but not averse to going to ground when he feels its been justified. He's got great control, good pace, is decent in the air. A good finisher too. On the downside he's almost totally one-footed (left) and can be a mouthy so and so at times as well.
Would he good enough? Hard to tell really, he's young enough to do it I'd imagine but you can never be sure. Prior to Limerick he was with Cork City and Wimbledon.

Thanks for the info, he does sound like the kind of striker we want, we need a big pacey striker, and someone who can find the net!
I take it by the sounds LFC in exiles thread that you don't want him to leave.
Personally, I don't think we will sign him. Pele, our manager, has signed too many unproven players from lower leagues that haven't worked so I don't think he'll take the gamble. We've just signed Bryan Prunty from Celtic and looking at a few other SPL strikers, however if we can't sign them for free then they won't be coming to Aberdeen so you never know.

He didn't get a fair run at Cork City cos he had a run in with the manager, he can be a bit hot-headed at times :) IMO he's a very good player, he's strong, fairly quick, good in the air and has an excellent touch. His shooting's not bad either. He's definitely good enough for the eircom League Premier, and IMO should have a damn good chance at making it in the SPL too.
