What d'ye think so far (...and a little help)

Well, first series is past us now, am interested to know how the Youths fans think the season has gone so far?
Now that ye are well placed to bridge the gap to the top four teams, has the slight change in ethos been worth it? :D (daft question!)
Has it worked as well as / better than you thought? Would you like to see a further shift towards the brought in, semi-pro standard player?
Must say I'm delighted with the steady rise of the side thus far.


Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a good res, up-to-date Youths crest anywhere on t'web? The usual channels have not come up trumps.
And also also, what's the deally with the 5 stars on your new one? Have just got used to the three for the Inter-League titles, what's these new stars all about? :D

needless to say i'm happy enough with the way the season has gone as i'd be delighted if we finish the season in 5th.

as for drafting in more semi-pro standard players i wouldn't be too keen on it, i believe the majority of the squad should be local. My view is that give the local and younger lads a go 1st and if we are lacking in a certain area then fair enough bring someone in who can genuinely add to the team ie.Packie Holden & David Breen

season so far so good the local players who have been with us in last few years getting better thanks to experience of playing LOI for last few years.

to date bringing in the outside players of White, Holden, Breen and Sheenan (have not seen a lot of yet) has helped defense play much better with the guidance of Holden and Breen in particular with White also playing very well with Breen stealing the glory. In particular I think Holden has brought been great asset to team on and off the pitch. At moment no goalkeeping coach so he trains with Pa Doyle (last years keeper think only 19) and Pa in games this season has been IMO a better player. Always was a good keeper but needed some help with finer points of game.

All of these players but in particular Breen and Holden have brought competition for places and some professionalism with them which club needed for younger guys to learn that is why I have no problem with these players coming in it gives the local guys something then where not getting which was time to develop with less pressure on there shoulder.

I personally would not like to see more players come in balance is right just now yes winning is good but Mick will lose support and respect if totally fills the team with outsiders right now balance is good and working and hopefully stays that way.

The two extra stars was U18 FAI Cup winners last year and the Inter-League u18 last year as well.
