There was a very nice feature on RTE's Saturday sports show today about Deccie Daly. An good interview with him about his career, and some short audio clips of great City days bringing back some wonderful memories. It's heartening to hear that such a great player, who kept a very low profile, is remembered for his massive contribution to the eL, and his retirement didn't get lost in all the Dub-centered "crisis" talk.
It also shows that RTE radio at least, does provide a decent service to local soccer fans. If only the TV side of things could do as well.

Well done RTE RADIO, Deccie deserved a good send off.

The TV lads are a disgrace and are too bothered about England. Most of them probably don't even know the eL exists.

Well put. No matter what way anyone looks at it Deccie is a legend. At the heart of our greatest team ever, he was even the heart and soul in the bad times. Treasured memories, thanks Psycho!!
