Very disappointing result tonight in a match we could have won. Wexford played all the football in the first half and went in one up when Peter White flicked on a corner for Breener to stab home at the far post. Fitzy had earlier stuck home a cross from Gavin but was given marginally off-side and we generally dominated.

Game changed in second half when Hynes came on to partner Bisto Flood up front and Shels started clipping the balls to the two of them and the ball started sticking in our half of the pitch. The two Shels goals came in a minute and were basically identical with two winning headers in our box leaving the on-running forward with easy chance. Shels played very close attention to Sinny all night and he was fouled constantly.

Overall, a very close game and credit must be given to Keely for changes made at half-time. A Shels player was sent off late on but we didn't really capitalise. Good crowd at about 900.

shels didn't deserve the win IMO. Ref had a tough game (lot of fouls on both sides).
find it very frustrating with the team constantly playing long balls to nobody, especially when they create more and are well able to play the ball along the ground, and with ferrycarrig Park being a rather windy ground hoofing the ball up the field is very wasteful.

Agree with you on that. Best kept pitch in the league and its a windy night. We shouldve got the ball down and played. I think we got away with it tonight. We need to improve though.

Love everything about the trip to Wexford, Wallace really has done an amazing job on it, and hopefully the on the pitch success starts soon, hard luck on the result tonight. You probably deserved at least a draw from it.

Dissapointing result last night. We started off with an attacking formation with gavin doyle and ritchie fitz up front.
We looked very lively in the first half with JFOC having an excellent game.

It looked to me that for the second half when we were 1-0 ahead we seemed to sit back and try to hold on to what we had.
Richie fitz was taken off to be replaced by gareth mccurtain and then when shels went down to ten men we didn't take advantage of it.

3 points lost where at the very least we shoul have got a draw.
