You guys are to have a friendly against Poland in the near future. They must reckon you will be good practice for the UK teams.

It's traditional at this stage - we've played more friendlies against Poland than any other country! Though I suppose that's probably because they keep getting drawn against England in the qualifiers.

The regular trips to Poland in the late 50's/60's & early 70's were more to do with the quality and the hospitality of the local female population or rather the members who worked in the oldest profession in the world. The Poles didn't make half as many journeys here. :)

There's no difference in the quality, it's just the female Polish population of that profession has moved to North London. Anyway haven't Ireland played Spain more times.

Read an interview with Hans Krankl and he wants to play Ireland in a friendly .. for obvious reasons.

Nice looking women over here too ... mixture of Germanic and the lovely dark balkan eyes ..

Yes but that's cause we kept being drawn against the Spanish.

Aye. We've played Spain more times than anyone, but Poland in more friendlies than anyone. Something like 15 friendlies out of 17 matches.
