Prices from Hills as usual.
Dundalk 11/8 at home to Pats is an instant standout. I don't expect this price to be around for too long.

Really? Looks like the one to avoid to me.

A week ago I'd have been all over Dundalk. Not too sure about that now though for obvious reasons.
Galway I'd imagine will be a good price to beat Sligo away from home.

Wexford @ 7/2 at home to Shels is surely too big?

They've had a load of injuries the past few weeks. Think they lost to Mons at home too. I think that sounds fair enough.

They drew with Monaghan if I remember correctly. But Monaghan are doing well of late.
We shouldn't give the Will Hill's odds complier any credit for actually knowing much, going on what we have seen so far this season. I'd be very surprised if Wexford are trading as high as 4.5 on betfair by kick off. Shelbourne have been very poor in their last few games, and were sh!te vs Kildare according to Raheny Red.

Have placed my max allowed bet on Wexford Draw No Bet @ 23/10 with Will Hill and a fairly substantial bet on Wexford @ 7/2 with a view to laying some of it off later.

From extratime.ie:
Wexford Youths continued their fantastic form Friday night with a well earned win against Mervue United at Ferrycarrig Park through Man of the Match David Breen’s 58th minute tap in after Peter White had flicked on Conor Sinnott’s corner. Mervue were truly lucky not to concede at hat full as the home side held up fantastically and broke at will all through the game with Conor Sinnott and David Millar running rampant from David Breen’s distribution all night.

Yeh we are not looking good at all. On the opening night Wexford gave us a good game so the 7/2 is decent enough. If Baker starts we won't win.

Draw no bet Wexford at 23/10 is massive. I'm having some of that.

If you take away Dundalk's hammering by Bohs, their goal difference is much better than Pats', who've been stuffed 3-0 4 times. All is still not right with them.
Obviously, it depends if they have a central midfield or not, with Turner suspended.
Agree on Wexford, that's a big price.

I'll probably end up going for Cork at 4/5 to beat Bray. 7 wins out of 8, not to be sniffed at.

Looks like it's gone now. Well it's either gone or they ****ed up by giving me the wrong price. I suspect the latter though :(
Bohemians -v- Drogheda
Went down to Celtics today to see what price they would give me on Bohs (-1). Girl rang up head office, I was expecting 10/11 at most. They gave her 9/4! I doubled checked with her if that was right, she said yes. So off I went to a hole in the wall for some cash. So back in the shop I placed the bet. She rang back over if it was alright to take it. They gave the go ahead and confirmed that the price was grand. Now this could well be a mistake by one of their compliers but there were 2 separate phone calls and both confirmed Bohs -1 was 9/4. That is massive.

Fancy mervue (think its 4/5 to 1)- for no other reason that the last 4 LOI games i have went to the away team has won, and im hoping to get to that game this weekend - :p

A mate told me that more points have been won away from home than at home this season in the LOI. Not sure if it's true, but it could well be. That's one of the reasons why I don't hesitate in backing a team away from home.

I'm on over 2.5 @ 2.35 with bet365 in that game.
The games between the lower ranked teams in div 1 are much more open than when they take on the top 4. I expect goals here. Odds of 2.35 on overs is huge.

Bray Wanderers -v- Cork City
City are on a roll recently. 25 points out of their last 27 is a fantastic haul, and they've beaten Derry and Bohs in that time. They are top of the table for a reason. Whatever the possible financial trouble behind the scenes, on the pitch they are doing the business, and should prove too strong for a plucky, but green Bray outfit. 3/4 is a decent price given their run (was 4/5 earlier) and I feel this is the most secure bet of the weekend.
Backing Cork City to win, (Bet365) @ 3-4 - 3 pts

soccerbot has home and away tables.
Premier Division - 87 points won at home, 78 won away from home.
First Division - 88 points won at home, 94 won away from home.
Overall - 175 points won at home, 172 won away from home.

According to my computed analysis, this is what is predicted:
Bohemians to beat Drogheda United
Bray Wanderers and Cork City to draw
Derry City and Shamrock Rovers to draw
Dundalk to lose to St Patrick's Athletic
Sligo Rovers and Galway United to draw
Limerick to lose to UCD
Sporting Fingal to beat Waterford United
Monaghan United to lose to Longford Town
Wexford Youths to beat Shelbourne
Finn Harps to beat Kildare County
Athlone Town and Mervue United to draw
Do not take in literally, a bit of test run this week :D

My bets are spread across various bookies in various forms but a summary is:
Waterford to win or draw vs Fingal
Wexford to win or draw vs Shelbourne
Bohemians -1 to beat Drogheda
UCD to beat Limerick
Over 2.5 goals in Athlone v Mervue

Can I play the pessimist and suggest Limerick will get a draw out of tomorrow's game? 11/5; will have a look and see if I feel like it tomorrow.
(I can't tell if that spoils your fun or not)

I reckon the clowns in head office were looking at the handicap for Rovers -V- Bohs from last Saturday? Bohs would have been 9/4 for in that minus a goal yeah?! I can understand that it is a mistake but what will pish me off is the fact that the lady behind the counter made two phone calls, each 10 minutes apart.
Anyway, back to the game itself. Best price around on this is 10/11 with Hacketts. Bohs have lost their last 2 but they have a great chance this weekend to make amends and Drogs will be like lambs to the slaughter. Drogs haven't been trashed yet, this will change tomorrow.

That has to be a mistake. Bohs win to nil is 4/6 and 4/7 elsewhere and I cant see it on Boyle's website now. You can't do a double of Bohs to win and Bohs to keep a clean sheet because they are related events.

Lump on is all I can say! Value bet of the year ... other than Bohs -1 @ 9/4 !!!

After looking at the -2 betting on powers I reckon that was the bet quoted to me unfortunately. If Bohs do hockey these tonight, which I think they will, tomorrow morning should be fun.

Hi
I hadn't forgotten about you, I have been on the road all week. In relation to blatant or palpable errors, the payout is calculated on the correct price at the time of placing the bet, whether that is to the customer's advantage or otherwise.
This issue seems to be very topical at the moment as I have heard that there has been some discussion on internet sites over the past few days on the subject. Unfortunately I have no basis on which to void your bet or to give you a free bet, however I am happy to offer you a free €50.00 bet as a gesture of goodwill for bringing the issue to my attention.
If you would like to take me up on this offer please drop me a line letting me know which of our branches you would like to pick up your free bet from?
Regards
