I was just wondering are there any fans on here, or does anyonw know of any fans of you're club that are either living in differant counties in Ireland or indeed differant countries.
We (Waterford United), have a fan is Seattle U.S.A.

Located where we are, it's not too surprising that we have fans from Co. Monaghan* (I know a couple from Carrickmacross and Inniskeen) and from Co. Armagh (I know one from Crossmaglen).
I also know of two Dundalk fans from Dublin and Limerick who support the club due to their fathers being fans from Dundalk.
* Magicme would probably regard them as traitors. ;)

There's a page on Facebook dedicated to Danish Rovers fans :D
There are fans on the Cork City forum from Tamworth and York in England who support City as their irish team after their local clubs. Also there are people from Bulgaria,Germany and the USA on our fourm who support City.

A regular poster on here is a very insightful and intelligent Limerick fan who used to live in Japan for years.
We had a fella from Germany posting on the Kildare county forum on the club website a while back but he hasn't been around for a while now...

my cousins are all big harps fans, all born and live in munich. another one lives in utrecht(sp?) and her kid also follows the dynasty, much better than me, in fact i just gloryhunt nowdays and go to bohs games.
I also forgot about Siempre blanco in the U.K. Some sligo fans may also know this name. Posts go mostly along the line of sh*t league Sh*t team, pub standard football, business going great and winning loads in the bookies, the great weather when in Spain and the odd go at a couple of managers in LOI, abroad and on the international scene. Always good for the odd valid point though if you can be bothered reading all of the near page long posts.
We have fans in Scotland, Isle of Man, England, USA amongst others...

Siempre is brilliant, we should get him back here. I think he might actually be a computer programme of some kind.
He livens the Kildare county forum up anyway. Hasn't posted on the club forum since the powers above decided to reset the whole thing.

He's not the brightest when it comes to stuff like that. He stormed off foot.ie because dahamsta appended an editorial comment to one of his posts and he thought his account had been hacked. :D
:D I didn't know that must have happened before I joined. I think he was thrown off the sligo rovers forum as well. Wouldn't imagine he lasted too long here, always assumed he was banned.

I believe there is a Cork City Supporters' Club in Boston and possibly New York as well.

I follow the results of Sligo Rovers from here in the USA, and I ran into a couple of guys wearing Cork City shirts at a New York Red Bulls game two years ago.

Although I dont follow a team as such since I left the league as a player, but I follow the league from St Louis USA alongside my room mate who is a Shamrock Rovers shareholder who lives near 3 Bohs fans, 2 Drogs and a Bohs fan in Kentucky, Shels, Pats and Kilkenny City fans in Nebraska, a supporter of the league in Ontario, Canada, Shels and Pats fans in Memphis.
Perhaps the most random is my dad's friend whose entire family are Sligo Rovers obsessed and live in Dublin having no connections to Sligo whatsoever.

I have been living here in Seattle USA here now for the last 18months, i proudly wear my WUFC blues Jersey all the time aorund the city and when Ireland are playing i wear my international Jersey.
I have been asked a few times about my jersey and i tell them where i used to live. Now i have my Seattle Sounders FC jersey to wear on Match days here, am spoilt for choice here.
But the Blues is my club and always will be :).

Given our great tradition of emmigration it's hardly unusual for Irish football supporters to move abroad and take their loyalties with them. Foreign born fans of LOI are a more curious thing....
For the record, I'm a Galway United supporter based in Paris. God bless broadband, the web, P2P sites and very high speed connections..it makes life much simplier for us.

As the name suggests I followed Galway United from Vietnam for a good few years. Took a trip back there recently and my Galway United scarf is still up on the wall of the pub i used to drink in!
Things have moved on a bit since then, with youtube videos, MNS and and decent websites it is probably much easier to follow LOI from abroad these days.

I have a mate from Sligo in Prague who keeps an eye on the Rovers. Was over with him this past weekend, and the first thing we did on coming back from the pub on Saturday night was check the scores. Neither of us were particularly happy with a 3-0 defeat, but there you go.

You've got one in Australia too. I live in Melbourne and have just received this season's new WUFC jersey, Daughter is a big fan too - she's got alot of the merchandise sent over from family. We've been mistaken for Chelsea fans when we go to the A-league games however ! (vey common to wear "foreign" team jerseys at matches - identifies the greeks from the italians from the poms so to speak).

Sheffield United played Longford Town in a friendly a few years ago & after that we had a group of Sheffield United fans taking an interest in LTFC. I wonder would they come over to double attendances?
