Maybe there was a thread on this already, if so point me to it.

However I'd be interested to hear people's current World X1.

In goals I would have Buffon or Cech.

Wing back, Ashley Cole.

Centre, John Terry and Vidic.

Other Wing Back, undecided

Up front, Messi and Torres, Ronaldo didn't have a great season.

Midfield, Frank Lampard, Arshavan, Fabricas, and can't decide the other.

So that's

Cech

Cole Terry Vidic Undecided

Fabricas

Arshavan Lampard Undecided

Messi Torres

you've nearly gone for a Premiership 11 there! It's always fun to do though so here is mine.

Buffon

Alves - Vidic - Ferdinand/Carvalho - Evra

Essien - Xavi - Iniesta

Messi - Torres - Ronaldo

Mine was so similar to this I scrapped it. Only differences was Fabregas for Iniesta(very close), Bosingwa for Alves(haven't seen much of Alves) and Cole for Evra (close). Went with Carvalho as well but Ferdinand wouldn't have been second on my list.

Yeah I would have that with Carvalho as my centre back as he is just that bit more consistant than Ferdinand but its a tough choice as Ferdinand has lots of pace too and is pretty good with Vidic. I think its harsh on Gerrard this season to miss out so might put him there instead of Xavi or Iniesta although I know in reality he could not play that role. For such a great playe Gerrard is very hard to fit into any other formation other than 4 5 1.

A few of us just did a random email world XI thing in work today and mine was nearly spot on this. Just put Chivu in for Ferdinand as I love the guy. And Cole in for Evra.

Iniesta's a bloody genius. Amazing control of the ball.

One game:rolleyes: Iniesta has been unreal this season, has been as good as messi in recent weeks imo. One of the best players in the world, underrated aswell. I'd have him ahead of fabregas/xavi/essien/gerrard et al.

 Iniesta was absolutely brilliant tonight. Best player on the pitch by a long shot.

spot on. He made Lampard look like a lampost for most of the evening. Had a quick read through the guardian's ratings this morning and Iniesta gets an 8 and Lampost gets a 7 :confused:. Xavi got a 9. I think they mixed up Iniesta with Xavi.

Im going for what I think would make an un-beatable team.

it was tough leaving Kaka out.... but he needs to get out of Italy.

Very true. Most of the Barca players got plenty of touches but Iniesta was about the only one who looked threatening.

Totally overrated player and let go by his previous club for good reason. Watch his distribution some day and you'll realise why.

Love these:
1:Casillas
2-Daniel Alves
3:Gael Clichy
4:Carvalho
5:Lucio
6:Marcos Senna
7:Cesc Fabregas
8:Steven Gerrard
9:Fernando Torres
10:Lionel Messi
11:Kaka

I'd play 4-3-3 with my back four obvious and Senna protecting them with Kaka and Cesc free to roam from left to right. I'd play El Nino upfront with Gerrard and Messi either flank.
They'd score 5 goals a game and I'd be loved by all... :D:D

I agree he was poor but he has improved so much this year! he is a class player and deserves to be in my team!! Name a better RB at the moment?

I think I'd have Given as my keeper, if only because I see more of him than Buffon...he is the best keeper in England without a doubt

Given's a very good keeper but Buffon's on a whole other level.
