The office has been nominated for a Golden Globe (best television Comedy) as has Ricky Gervais (Best actor in a TV comedy).
The Office is only available in the states on BBC America, which makes the fact it was recognised for the award all the more interesting (to me anyway).
So just thought I'd ask, what do people think of it....
I think it's class.

Pure quality. Up there alongside Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses as my favourite UK comedies. Ricky Gervais is hilarious in it, but I reckon the bloke who plays Keith is a genius. The scene in Series 2 where he's answering multiple choice questions in a career review is eye-wettingly good.
brilliant stuff. Think my girlfriend got me the second series on dvd for christmas.
Just on the awrds thing though, the golden globes are voted for bt foreign reporters in hollywood so some of them might have a broader interest than the yanks...

I shared a house with a girl (and several cats) for few months and her friend thought it was a serious fly on the wall documentary thing. :p
Childish humuor, terrible jokes, cheap set. Wonderful.
Mind you, I know several people who hate it.
Sat down on Sat/Sun night, all excited coz I saw on Aertel that there was a programme on called ~ "The Office Christmas Party". What a let down. Some sort of cr*p docmentary thing.

Absolutely top class stuff, its more cringe in your seat rather than laugh out loud. Brent is a genius with the best ever one liners.... fave one.. Theres no I in TEAM, but theres a ME in there somewhere!

I saw the dance thing that Brent does for comic relief for the first time the other night.I was always wondering what your man on Bo'Selecta was doing when he was taking the p*ss out of ricky jervais.Hilarious stuff.:D

It's such a good show. Gervais and Merchant and both geniuses, but i'm glad the show has gone out on a high, unlike some others...
The best quote is:
""People see me, and they see the suit, and they go:you’re not fooling anyone, they know I’m rock and roll through and through."

Have to agree there, return of the office was fairly dire. Scary how close to office life the original Office series....

the best thing about the show is the fact that if you've ever worked in an office, chances are you've worked with a Gareth, or a Finchy....

Can't stand it I've worked with enough tossers like them, it's hadly comic genius to act like and english tosser. It might be the area I work in where there is a high number of english (not all) people who are like that so it could be that I just don't want to be reminded of work......
