    Mervue versu UCD AFC

    Oh my golly gosh!
Looking forward to this game. I missed other games betwen the teams, but I ope to catch this one.

Mervue Utd. v. UCD AFC 1984, was an important defence of the FAI Cup win of 1984.

They have won three league games in a row.

Match preview online now. mervue have beaten Kildare, Monaghan and Longford, but no-one else, so they seem like a mid-table team. Shouldn't fear them anyway.

I know we're going to win but I still can't bet on us even at the extraordinarily tasty price of 1.66.

I bet on us to beat Wexford. I blame that for us losing. The last time I bet on us was part of a nine-game accumulator including us v Monaghan in the Cup; we drew, and every other game came off. Never bet on us!

Super win - thanks for the twittering - nerve wracking way to watch a game - when no twitters happen for a few mins you never know if it because you lost or broke the phone or because nothing happened

Nice to win when not playing well. It was a different kind of not playing well to last week, in fairness. At least here, we were creating chances but finishing them weakly (and their keeper was well on form). Our passing was slack, but at least you could see what we were trying to do. Any own goal and a massive deflection isn't the best way to win, but at least we've learnt a lesson while not dropping any points.

Longford are really struggling at the moment; should be able to get a win next week.
