Gates account for just 16% of costs
There has been further confirmation of the unsound financial situation of eircom League soccer with the news that gate receipts, which under the terms of the new Uefa license should be the cornerstone of a club’s finances, contributed just 16% of Dundalk’s running costs last season.
The once mighty border club posted their worst on the field result last term finishing just one place above the re-election zone, a fact reflected in attendances at Oriel Park.
