From Aertel p227. We're looking to sign three new players. Cawley is still expected to leave, but everyone else, including Jennings, seem to be staying.

There was a piece in the Herald last night saying that Griffin, Finn, Donnolly and Savage had been released and a few other fringe players (didn't say who) would be going as well.

Pete Mahon said that the reason most of the team would be staying was because they are under 23 and clubs wouldn't want to pay for them. I don't know if this is just an opinion or what but it said that we'd be looking for money off $hels for Cawley and that it would probably go to a tribunal. Does anyone know what a reasonable amount would be (e.g. how much did we get off Bohs for Robbie Doyle)?

It said that the club had given him permission to sign 3 "outsiders" and he mentioned Rob D. Fones as someone he'd be interested in signing.

Robbie was out of contract, so do u still have to pay because he is under 23 ? as far as i know he moved on a free, no money was involved, it was the same story when he left Bray for College.

Excellent!:D That would be a class signing! Would have to alter the fanzine a bit though!

The Aertel piece also mentioned we'd released some of the frings players - didn't say who though.

And also, just reading it again, it said that other top players could be on their way, including Jennings. Which is a lot different to what I posted...:o
