I hope to make Castlebar Celtic. I remember Ballina Town played Shelbourne in the FAI Cup. Ballina were the first Mayo side to compete in the competition. Have Celtic or any other Mayo sides played in the Cup recently?

Hmm. Possibly him alright. Though, just thinking - it's six years since he played for us. How time flies!

He was playing alright.... Huge fella, played center half but didn't set the game alight. The Bluebell No10 was excellant, name escapes me but played for Dundalk and Shels. Played Center Mid, didn't go too far outside the center circle but still got more ball than most. Bluebell hung on, Peters didn't play well (weren't allowed to maybe) Good luck to them in the next round and in the FAI Intermediate Final on May 10th. Sound lads.

huge thanks to ATFC for the use of their ground, we were desperate to get the game on as we have 100 games left to play this year!!

Would the number 10 be Ciaran Quinn?

would have to disagree with u there Fr Damo i thought peters played well on the day maybe 1 or 2 senior players let themselves down but from what i heard bluebell thought it would be a walk in the park and didnt have much respect for peters, and to be honest peters had 10 or 11 chances to score i cant remember the peters keeper making a save..i thought bluebell were very average organised but thats about it.. having seen clonmel and carrick this season they were far better sides..very suprised they made it to a final..just shows there is no differnce between top junior sides in country and intermediate sides IMO..

Thought Sher was unlucky not to get a peno in the 1st few minutes, especially
as Brendan Kelly was blowing for everything else! Having said that though I
didnt have a clear view of it.

Mount went out on Sunday away to Malahide. 1-0 in the end, unlucky enough with a mixed squad of regulars and youths. Cracking place to play football, would love to have seen the full side go at it on that pitch, but it would be a very long summer if we progressed in that comp. Would hate to upset the FAI by winning it!!

Carrigaline beat Tullamore 2-1 on douglas halls new astroturf pitch. Wasn't the best game of football but two good pieces of football amounted to two goals for us, the winner being only a few minutes from the end!
Great pitch for a game of football, roll on Cobh Ramblers in the next round:D
Congratulations to Carrigaline... nice to hear good review for the pitch - Away to Cobh? That will extend the season for you, or reduce the length of the break.... maybe that was Cliff's suggestion....

of course....away to waterford is a nice draw....although i think that mayfield got a lovely match to look forward to away to bohemians!!
itll be a good day out for the club and, you never know, we have beaten to 'a' championship teams so far(although they were pretty poor), we could spring sa suprise or two!

Seen a fair bit of Carrigaline this year and at full strenght are a lot better thann the final tables suggest and could give Waterford a good game - will this cup run be enough to galvanise the team for next season or is the revolt against the current management still in full swing Mr X?
