a very good season,

was it due to our historic cup win or the fact that we finished 4th in the league?

The Cup, The Day, The European Qualification.....

Very proud of finishing 4th, but a third instead of actually winning something? Are you mad? Besides the toto's shít.

well if ever progress was to be measured I would pick the league position...

enjoyed the day, the celebration, the feeling it was meant to be.... I'll enjoy europe... but the only measurement is the league...

great achievement to reach the cup finals and win the FAI.... very enjoyable...

BTW, being drinking this afternoon....

Personally I think you've got to take the season as a whole - if we'd kept 5th from last season and both Cup finals we would've been maintaining progress....

are you crazy you judge your season on what yoyu have won as well as the league but noything beats actually winning something.

Of course league position counts, and 4th place is remarkable, but it will always be memorable cos of the cup win. Did we get a piece of silver for 4th place.... nothing beats a bit of silverware! But we're all very proud to get 4th all the same!

Simply, if things were to turn for the worst, and you were looking back, what would remember?
4th is probably a greater achievement, but it wont be written into the clubs history the same way as cup winners will be..

Porbably the only thing that went wrong on the field is that we finalyl lost our hoodoo against you lot

Yes and no - the points dropped against you lot just get added to the list of points dropped against the weaker teams in the league. (No offence, just given your league position). Silly points dropped against the likes of Drogheda, Derry and Waterford cost us at least 3rd...
