Just saw a post on thebohs mb (http://gypsiesweb.proboards14.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1071606529) saying that Bohs have realeased their coach Liam O'Brien as a cost cutting excercise.

Think he's been on the coaching staff since Pete Mahon? Things must be even tighter this year if they are cutting the coaching staff. I wonder have they managed to offload many of their players yet??

I remember seeing him play for City on his debut. Had a few nice touches...pity there was no staying power! Is a sign of the times though that City stopped bringing back has-been professionals a few seasons ago.

Am I missing something? I know that he was never a great player for the one season that he was with us for, but surely this is a bit OTT Eanna?

I agree with Niamh that things must be tight this year with Bohz if they are letting coaches go.

Esp with Shels troubles, the homeless without the money to finish their residence.
I would love to see City up there with the best fighting it out, but I think they'd be crazy to get carried away with themselves financially. There is still not a lot of money in the league.

Ah Éanna you really have a special relationship with him dont you?

There was talk on the Bohs MB that it is really just him being sacked due to general crapness and being covered up as a cost cutting exercise. Alot of the Bohs fans wanted him out anyway.

good post previous about moving on from bringing back end of road guys from across the water but i did expect more from o brien as the season before he got man of the match on his last game with tranmere eventhough he wasnt holding down regular place(wierd i know), and fact he was irish thought he might av had more heart.
we av had a few stinkers anybody remember trevor brooking think he had playermanager role for only 3mths and then out the gap. although we could do with finding maybe another dave hill for us this season??

I agree with Niamh that things must be tight this year with Bohz if they are letting coaches go. he was never even a fúckin player! he just hung around on the pitch doing nothing waiting for the train back to the pale and his pay check. oh and he threatened to slap me for calling him judas :)

The entire pitch is a bit of an exaggeration.
He only ever hung around the centre circle!!

According to Irishfootballonline (http://www.irishfootballonline.com) he left so he could persue a career in management. So now he can hang around de dugout doing nothing ...

I'd actually feel sorry for them. Even rovers don't deserve that sack of shíte

Have to disagree with ya there. They could be a match made in heaven.;)

The blob might be the final piece of the jigsaw that could finally see the scum relegated out of the top flight. :D :D

Now that would be a seriously bad move .... that is all they need right now. We need ot keep as many team in the league as possible, and Rovers folding wont help that.

Hope they dont make any stupid mistakes.
