Lads, really sorry to see your captain injured like that. He was in sheer agony. The worst possible circumstances to see your opponents reduced to ten men. I somehow hope it wasn't quite as bad an injury as it looks. My best wishes for his recovery.

Who's the Kildare captain?
It was originally John Flynn, but he got injured preseason, then it was David O'Connell but he done his cruciate ligaments in a friendly against Wexford, it was Paddy Mahon who got injured tonight, looks like he broke his ankle

Was it a "graphic" break?

I've heard it wasn't a break thankfully which amazes me cos I was sure i heard a snap. He has done severe ligament and soft tissue damage though and is going to be out for a while
From my view it looked like he just caught his studs in the ground and then clipped the ucd player. Was very unlucky. I wish him all the best in his recovery. :ball:

I've heard that there's a certain ligament or tendon that will audibly snap when torn..
