What way will we play next season.

With Fenn, Doyler, Georgie and Flynny all certain starters what way will we play? Doyler a shoein for the right wing position?

Will Dolan stick with 4-4-2 by dropping Georgie back into the centre of the midfield or will we see a change in system to something like what Celtic play with 3 Centre backs (Dan Derek Benno) two holding midfielders and Georgie with the two F's up front.

lots of goals there... switch to 4-4-2 dropping kearney for bohs/shels.. dont think we'd hold out with only 3 defenders against the best teams.. weve conceded enough last min goals with 4 back there last season

Can't see how Colin T could possibly start on the right side of midfield instead of Doyler!!!!

Can't see Dolan changing too much from 4-4-2, reckon there could be a bit of rotation in the starting line up each week

A lot of people are putting a lot of faith in Nwanko. I hope he repays that faith.
On the players we definitely have so far, I reckon
Devine
Hoggie, Dan, Derek, Greg
Doyler, Colin, George, Kearney,
Flynn, Fenn.

I'd prefer Benno to Derek myself,
Subs
Benno,
Nwanko,
Billy,
Murray,

Benno has to get his game ahead of Derek. He's looked lively when played, and is younger, which will pay off in the long run.

Rumour has it that we signed Shane Robinson from Rovers in which case he and doyler would be battling it out for the right wing slot.

Lads, what has Nwanko done to merit inclusion ahead of Colin T? I'll admit that Nwanko looks good from what little we've seen of him but Colin T had a great season and would be a better choice imo.

I just reckon he's a better player. I know we haven't seen much, but I do reckon he's better

just sittin here smiling lookin at the all the posts, isnt it fukin excellent havin options next season when only 12 months ago we were such a limited club/team. just shows what a bit of dedication and heart (dolan+lennox)being put into the club can do.

BTW cant see how u could leave kearney, doyle or colin t outta the team after last season.

4-4-2 is the best option.
Hoggie and Billy would offer a lot going forward.
Althought I'm not too sure about Hoggie myself. Maybe
Carey might play a few game this season. Georgie has to come into Midfield.

Devine
Hoggie/Carey, Murray, Bennett, Billy
Doyle, Georgie Greg Kearney
O'Flynn, Fenn

I agree to an extent, I'd say that Carey is a marginally better defender but Hoggie offers more going forward IMO. Carey can get in amazing crosses into the box but his consistancy lets him down, more than half of his crosses are poor.

How can you not be too sure about Hoggy??? If it wasn't for George's brilliance, he'd have been one of my first choices for player of the season.
I'd still say that Greg at RB and Hoggy at LB is our best full back option. Carey's not good enough and I reckon Billy is starting to show signs that he's past it. Hoggy is fantastic and I think that Greg could do very well if we moved him back to RB.

I'd say that de starting formation won't be two important as Georgie will be assigned a free role to pull defences all over (as he pretty much does already) The only difference is that they'll be 2 ahead of him rather than one. George & Fenn may well swap roles throughout de game to further upset defences. Would need strong defensive midfielder for this tho'

Come off the stage lads, there is no comparison between Hoggie and Carey. Hoggie wins hands down.

agreed. carey is quicker, but gets caught out of positiona lot and his crossing is not great. Hoggie is the best full back in the league apart from Heary IMO

Im not saying Carey is a better player, far from it. I think Hoggie is one of our best players but like any player he has his weaknesses.

I just think against certain players it would be wiser to play Carey. He's better in the air and quicker than Hoggie. Hoggie has been burned by the quicker players in the league like Ollie and especially Rutherford.

nah, can't agree with ya. I honestly don't think carey is good enough at all to be honest.
