My criteria for a champions league quality player is someone who plays consistently in a team which qualifies for the CL consistently.
Darren Fletcher?
Niklas Bendtner?

They only play if there are injuries and are not 1st team regulars, therefore they do not play consistently.

John O'Shea plays regularly for Manchester United. Do you consider him to be Champions League quality? Richard Dunne has never played in the CL. Would you not consider him to be a better player than O'Shea?

Bendtner started 5 games and came on as a sub in 4. This was down to injuries!!
He is the 4th choice striker at Arsenal behind Adebayor, Van Persie and Eduardo. He is also only 24, and under Wenger will develop as a player..

My criteria for a champions league quality player is someone who plays consistently in a team which qualifies for the CL consistently. I would probably rate Robbie Keane as Europa League quality
Just like earlier in the week, when you were predicting we would get steamrollered by Italy, you're talking crap again.
Robbie Keane has about 150 goals in all competitions as a domestic player playing in some crap teams. He has double Don Givens 15-year old goalscoring record for his country, he has scored at all levels of the game, be it at Crumlin United, or for Ireland at the WC, the highest level of football. He did what all good strikers are supposed to do last week, and took his chance when it came.
The player is outstanding and brilliant, and as a Liverpool fan, I was upset to see him thrown on the scrapheap after 6 months and used as a political football to kick around. It has contributed to us playing catch up in the EPL race, rather than been way out in front.
And we'll be relying on him to get us to Africa next year.

Agreed. Were it not for him, I believe we'd already be out of the race.
