FC Carlow play their home games at 'The Valley', Ballon, Co. Carlow ... Ballon is a small village located approx 5 miles from Carlow town, on the Wexford Road ... Coming from Carlow, take a right turn across from the National School, go out past the Community Centre about a half mile, 'The Valley' is on the left

Tullamore 1-0 Derry City,
Scott Delaney on target for Tullamore with a powerfull header from a corner early in the first half. Derry had plenty of possession but didn't really trouble our goal in the first half. Second half Derry had 2 good goal chances only for some poor finishing, other than that we stood firm and could of got a second late on when CM was clean through only to be hacked down. Attendance: 230

Not bad at all. That's better than some first division clubs would get.
