...Shels! Honest to God!

He was quoted in the Evening Herald as saying that things didn't go well for him at UCD, and that Athlone was a bad move and that Glenavon was a bad move...all the time, we just thought he was crap! Shows what we know...

Apparently, the Ireland U-17 team he was in in South Africa while with us had such players as John O'Shea and a few others!!

He did really well for Rovers last season. Don't know why he never did anything for us.

Nah, only scored twice. Scored three goals in his first four games for us and then one more (away to Rovers in Morton) over the next two seasons!

Yep. Remember hearing about it, though I wasn't there - the highlights were shown on Sunday Sport.

Definitely only scored four goals for us, so not much room for a hat-trick!

Most recent hat-tricks for UCD are -

Seán Finn H v. Drogheda, 2002/03 season
Robbie Martin A v. Monaghan, 2001/02 season
Ken Kilmurray H v. Bluebell, 2000/01 season (League Cup)
Jason Sherlock A v. Derry, 1997/98 season

Apart from that, though, he was still crap!

And he turned down a trial with Huddersfield to go to Shels!

Yeah it was definitely two, neither were anything special. The goal of the game was undoubtedly Aidan Lynch's spectacular og.

Lynch was battling with a Cork striker to get back to cover a hoof and his bullet header from just outside the box left Bazza with no chance. If only it had been up the other end. I can honestly say that it was one of the best "attacking" headers I've ever seen.
