Just heard Derry City have signed ex Hibee Tam McManus. Could be a good signing. Saw him play a few times for Hibs in his early days. Went a bit off the rails and ended up playing for Stephen Kenny at Dunfermline, then went to Falkirk and ended up with Colorado Rockies. If he has straightened himself out he could be a big hit as he has loads of talent and pace. Lots of bad rumours about him when he was in Edinburgh though. But would like to see things work out for him. Would have played with Sam Morrow in the past at Hibs.

He got Goal of the Week in MLS less than a year ago beating some fairly well known players

He has the ability to play at a high level and was thought of as highly as Derek Riordan, while at Hibs, at the time. He scored 10 or 11 goals one season 2003 I think. His workrate was always high. I saw him play for Dundee against Hibs and he ran himself into the ground( obviously trying to prove Tony Mowbray wrong for letting him go). Heard he kept bad company in Edinburgh but was young then and hopefully learned his lesson. Hope he does well with Derryhttp://foot.ie/images/icons/icon14.gif

Tam as a promising player 4/5 years ago. Career went downhill badly though. Similar type player to Sammy Morrow
