All good and well being televised but if the performances don't improve it does more harm than good IMO. Gives the barstoolers and detractors more ammo. The Bohs v Shams game was excellent quality with a good atmosphere though, in fairness.
A win and a decent performance is badly needed on Friday.

How much do home and away teams get from RTE for a live game?

Kind of a pity this one and not another away match is one the box. We might have brought more fans to Derry seeing as you can dring in the pubs on good friday up there (i think), more people might have travelled up early for a few pints.

The game will be the sixth of a scheduled 13 League of Ireland and FAI Cup matches to be screened live by RTE in 2009.

Almost half scheduled matches shown already. Does this mean there will be a few months where there will be no matches at all on the telly.

Not really a fan of games been shown on TV but I think we get a grand every away game shown so it's not bad
