€100 euro fine for 3 flares which were set off in Sligo.

I think it was your ineffective security who let the flares in that got you your fine ;)
Edit: You actually got yourself the fine for letting off flares yourselves, the wording is pretty clear on the press release.

.......... As for the security they leave these flares get in and decide to confiscate a party popper off me :rolleyes:

I was in Sligo and there were only 2 flares left off by City supporters and I didn see any set off by Sligo...

Political Rebel maybe u were not in the ground but there was also a cold flare set off.
I was there, I almost forgot about that little sparkler...:D

Well you know I know you were there :p But I meant out at the jacks or at the shop or something along those lines.
So now you agree there was 3?
Who will pay the fine ? We know tommy can't afford it.

Yes there was 3...The little sparkler, the flare at the start and the flare after the goal...Still didn see any from Sligo...
The people who lit the flare should pay but as the club does not know who they are then the club will have too pay it...But if the club did know then they would be banned until they pay the fine...

New rule this season is home team gets a percentage of the fines, I assume that's why we were fined.

"Sligo Rovers were fined €100 as a result of flares/fireworks set off by their supporters v Cork City (07.03.09)." Tha above link clearly states that Sligo fans set off the flare, if that's not the case, take it up with the League. :p
