As reported on unison this morning:
Cork City sign €750,000 sponsorship deal

Cork City have announced the signing of a €750,000 sponsorship deal for the next four years. Shirt sponsors Nissan, O'Neill's and Guinness are among the companies involved. Meanwhile, Cork have also announced the signing of Waterford United's former Spurs striker Neale Fenn.

CORK CITY last night announced the signing of Neale Fenn and new sponsorship contracts worth an accumulated €750,000 over four years.
Fenn, the 26-year-old former Spurs and Peterborough forward, joined Waterford mid-way through last season and scored five goals in the eircom League.
His mother was Margaret McCarthy from Bere Island, Co Cork. Fenn, who was born in Edmonton, London, recalled holidaying on the Island where he still has relatives.

Is that the biggest combined sponsorship deal in eL history?
185k a year is deadly as they say up these parts!

makes sense. as much sense as a professional sports club having an official beer supplier.
The one I was thinking of today was that Nissian could give some of our players "company" cars. Nissian would still own the car but the player gets the use of it. Could be the difference between signing a player and not signing a player. We might be able to match another clubs wages but throw in use of a car too.

Or give the Cork City Player of the Season a car? Wud be an additional attraction to sign for the club. If you leave however the car stays...
