Can l ask what will l get for that... If your not aware you don't have a loi team
Is this to pay for our new managers that the munsterkid has being very happy to tell us we are going
To pay €700 per week for no thanks were in a recession l will go to the a games if entry fee is
€5 that should cost me €50 for the season.
Is the chairman and the committee on this planet

Entry to games will cost €10.00 and it isn't the Chairman and committee who agreed these prices fro membershiip, it's the members who did. Also I don't believe that this is the place to discuss the Managers wages but those who were present at todays meeting will know what he will be paid and the figure you mentioned is incorrect.

i'll second that if people had actually stayed at the meeting while these issues were being resolved then they would know.

What ever the figure is you cannot expect people to pay €10 to watch an A league game when the players kid and the
Manager getting paid.
Do u really understand the anger that will create when you have
Experience people who would do it for free and any money raised go towards the big debt
I'm willing to pay my share but all money to the club
I'm not trying to stir anything but its only A league
Just wondering how many turned up and agreed to this you had 150 members. How many left

Doesn't really matter now. It has been voted on and accepted by the members that remained.
Considering the situation we're in I think it is fair enough.
So let us put the last 12 months behind us and support the club.

To vote you need 2\3 of the members there so the vote is pass

I dont have a problem in paying the money into a match I do have a problem with paying a manager and I have an even bigger problem with this so rumour fling about involving the ass. manager. What happened to Alan and Darragh I was under the impression that they were the backroom team and I would like to know why they were shafted?
Unfortunatly I had to leave early today abd didnt get to voice these concerns and dont know whether it was disscussed or not but it should have been

There was about 1/3 of membership there to start off but after a certain event this number became smaller but our constitution states that we only need 10 to carry out the meeting so it was legal

PcPlod big assumption they were shafted maybe they are still on the backroom team are maybe they are no longer interested or Maybe the manager decided he wanted to bring in his own backroom team not unusual.

It looks like we are still going to have a lot of rubbish on here it would be great of people could just talk about football fpr a change I guess that is to much to ask for on the Cobh Ramblers football forum!!

I didn't know there was a charge in to A games, clubs have to make money I suppose. Do all reserve teams charge into games? I know admission was free into ou games last year

pcplod
22/03/2009, 9:30 PM
This is not an assumption I can assure you and I am sure if you were to ask Darragh he would tell you the same, this is about football and how the team will be ran. Surely as fans we should at least have respsect for or backroom staff well I for one will not be supporting our new ass. manager if the rumours are to be believed he does not deserve it after his carry on last season.

i assume it the family season ticket your refering to, and maybe yes its a strech, but were asking our fans to dig deep and help out rams, and maybe pay the E50 extra for your vote at the AGM next year,

but if you want you could just pay at the gate each game, you dont have to buy a season or membership ticket, just to turn up and sing the rams on is just as acceptable to me as a fully paid up member,

How many games in the A season? At €125, your single season ticket is dearer than Athlone Town's!

€125, that's the same price as our adult ground season ticket (http://www.dundalkfc.com/news/SeasonTickets.asp) which gets you into 18 premier division games.

Whereas yours gets you into 8 'A' Championship matches (working out at over €15 per match)..

That is just pure madness, especially if it's only a tenner to pay in at the gate!

A league is free around all loi clubs and you want us to pay 10euro for what, l can go and watch a premier loi game for 15 euro.
if the club was run in as it should be and everything above board then I say YES as the money raised will go towards the club.
But most of that gate money will pay two people to manage an amature team.
Bring Darragh back he will Im sure do it for free, for the love of the club, how many members do you think will pay that sort of money we have to get real.
Lets get the finance in order before the lights go out and we will be in darkness and go back to the good old day and have candles placed around the pitch as new flood lights so we can watch the game.

its an absolute disgrace that they are trying to charge us for this coming season....BUT. the members set the price at the AGM not the chairman or committee we only have ourselves to blame really people should of voted at the meeting not come on here and be out-raged

but honestly i think noone will buy the season tkts and therefor no votes at agm next year- no need for re-election :D hee hee smart play

I agree with the above. Buying a season and membership combined is a way of supporting Cobh Ramblers Football Club not any individual.
The committee is now elected so we should once and for all put the past behind us and move on. Roll on the first match.

well maybe people should stop complaining and start acting like they care and attend the meetings, ive heard a few people today complaining that were season ticket holders, as i said to them unless the attended they have no right to complain,

hard times ahead lads, all i care is people show there support just by attending games and help the lads get promoted, weather you buy a membership/season ticket is your business,

If people want to pay the money for the tickets great, if not fair enough but stop the bitching, we've had enough of that for the last 12 months.
We all say we love the Ramblers, so regardless of who is sitting at the top table and who is managing the team, let us show how much we love the club by supporting it.
Roll on the first game of the season.

The club should have someone on the gate and anyone going in should make a contribution. :ball:

Bray's season ticket is only €99 for a premier league club, I know Cobh need the money but that seems extraordinary to me.
