The draw for the First and Second rounds of the 2009 EA SPORTS Cup were made today:

First Round Draw
Athlone Town v Longford Town Match 1
Shamrock Rovers v Kildare County Match 2
Tullamore Town v U.C.D. Match 3
Bye: St. Patrick’s Athletic

Second Round Draw
St. Patrick’s Athletic v Winner of Match 2
Winner of Match 1 v Winner of Match 3


Match Dates:
First Round Monday/Tuesday, 13th /14th April
Second Round Monday/Tuesday, 4th /5th May
Quarter-Finals Monday/Tuesday, 18th /19th May
Semi-Finals Monday/Tuesday, 3rd / 4th August
Final Saturday, 26th September


With our league game against them in Flancare on April 11th, it's gonna be 2 local derbies in the space of 3 days (assuming the above cup game is played on Tuesday the 14th).

I wonder would they have it played early in the day on the bank holiday?

Dunno would we play Saturday/Monday but to be honest I think we should look at playing our league game on Good Friday, you'd have a good chance of a decent crowd from both teams with nothing else to do.
