We must finish 4th or better to qualify for play-off with bottom 1st division team.

we have to finnish at least 4th, and be ahead of Salthill, Carlow, Tralee and castlebar, dunno how it works when the league is done, if theres play-offs of teams that finnsih in the top 4, or if it just simply goes on points,

im just happy to have a fixture list to look at, id love to frame this im so happy

Couldnt agree more finally there is something else to talk about.

Anyone have a list of players that will be playing are any of last years team that are playing MSL likely to come back as that season is coming to an end soon, we could do with a bit of expierence from the local lads that have played with us to bring the young lads on

There are a few players still to sign with clubs. Like Reilly and Muckie they would do very well in the A League.
Whats the story with Hill??? At the moment we have no players and no manager and just under a month to find them!

To the best of my knowledge Dave Hill is still with Ramblers and I believe there was never any truth is any connection with Limerick. From what I know he will be taking the A League team.

I heard Dave Hill was waiting till things were sorted before he signed players.Heard a couple of ex players like brosnan, warren were interested in coming back. They would be a good addition to whoever else we have. Its great to see afixture list at last even if there is not a lot of time to get things together.Im sure Dave Hill knows who he wants and is just raring to get going as well.

What l heard was ur un 17s 18s and last years 20s and reserves were playing and no payments
But what's the point if ur going to pay a few others over 1k per week between them.
Plus buses 800 per week also food ect. So any player who want to play for cobh should not get a euro
All money made should clear the debts and not to paying players and all members should have a say where the money go

:ball: Does that mean the u17s and youths will pull out of their respective leauges because you surely cannot expect anybody to play games on a sat and then on a sun as well, without getting at least expenses or food on your away trips.Wherever the money will come from you will still have to have some experienced players in your squad, which no doubt the manager will have seen.As regards who will be getting what ,we will not know for sure till sundays meeting .Hopefully we can now concentrate on the football for a change from here on in.

I agree that no players or manager for that should be paid a wage. If you heard what we were told about a budget then you would have heard it being said that expenses like food and travel were accounted for so hopefully that is what is going to happen.
If the players and Dave Hill are willing to play for nothing then great if not then we had an offer by two people to mange for free and im sure the younger lads in the club would be more than happy to play for just their expenses and of course the PRIDE IN PLAYING FOR A TEAM YOU LOVE AND WANT TO SURVIVE.

Great to see a fixture list at last. Thanks DR.
Lets get your AGM over with and let the elected committee get on with the running of the Club.
All those who love to hear their own voices will be at it again at the AGM.
Those that are putting their names forward for election are the real Ramblers.
So they must be backed to get us back into the 1st Division again.

the meeting should go straight to the agenda, right after the finances are done, no straying of any kind, i dont want to hear argueing for an hour and half, before item number one is discussed,

were in the A leaugue and this meeting is all about how were gonna get out of it, we can survive this for a year, anything beyond that is dodgy, so lets all get together, and show our colours to the rest of the league, and move forward as cobh ramblers fc:ball::ball::ball:

AFAIK there will not be an election as soe of the people who were to run have pulled out for a nuber of reasons so I presume whoever is left ie. the current five people will be staying on and we still wont have a fully functioning comittee in place. Hard to see how the club is going to move forward unfortunatly

We need at least 5 players who could be classed as experienced and that are not classed as U-17 and Youths players!

Is this just your opinion or is it a rule for A league football that we cant field a youth team ?

Ya I agree but dunno how easily we will get people to commit there is so much crap going on behind the scenes that it would discourage anybody. It is having that affect on members let alone players the place is like a looney bin and sunday will probably be just another chapter in the guide to getting nothing done for dummies. I know a good few people who arent even going and I am seriously thinking that way myself.

As for winning anything we should have a shot if we can get some expierenceed players even if its only at MSL level they have played. Hopefully that combined with youth and a desire to win will give us a shot at getting back into the first division

If Dave Hill is the manager we can be sure he will put a good team together.
The committee is a voluntary one and needs a break from attack after attack.
After all they got us the New Dressing Room complex , the New Stand, New Floodlights and got the pitch up to Premier standard.
I know we are in debt but the committee have told us they have a solution so lets give them a chance.

thank you mr chairman, did you ever read such crap, the chair and committee got ye into this , as for dressing rooms etc it is easy to build something its paying for it thats the problem, last couple of years loans were given out like confetti only now do people realise that the people who got loans cant pay them back , toxic debts

well actaully they were grants and the only way to get grants is to have your club run properly, have your paper work in order, and have your tax clearance cert, which we did for the last 3 years, 2 years we were considered good enough to be premier clubs

two reasons were in this mess,

1 players were paid to much

2 the clubs name was dragged through the mud for 12 months, alienateing the club to local supporters, and the knock on affect was less revenue entering the club,

this is a debth that accumulated over 3-4 years, and the thing people dont seem to realise is that other clubs have done the exact same as us, but the difference is they got together and helped there club, Athlone, Rovers, Sligo, Cork, and Shelbourne, all of which had debths equal to or more than ours,

hilly can get 5 players easy he needs contact with the club, spoke to him yesterday his phone has nt wrung once from the relavant people in the club he s in limbo in turn so are the players waiting to come in msl ends soon enough and lads are lookin to go on holidays its a mess but it can be done especially with hilly they can finish well up that table and then get us back into 1st div. and stabilize from there returning us to LOI proper . its not that big of a task on the field get 6 or 7 msl lads in from the mount or the dale mixed with some fresh legs and this knightmare will soon be over

The above is my understanding as well. But I am not close to the scene.
Its not easy to run a successful League of Ireland team ( winning the league 2007). But when you have to run a bar business and a massive building project at the same time it takes some doing.
This by a voluntary committee holding down day jobs. Surely they must get some credit.
