This is all very impressive The Boss fair play.

Success in League of Ireland
U21 Championship (2004, 2005, 2007)

Other Teams
"Intermediates" compete in Leinster Senior League (Sun and Sat. teams)

(Housekeeping point: can you capitalise the 'a' of AFC and then delete this message. cheers)

Is it worthe posting International past or current on the same list. But some clubs (like Shelbourne) would have a very long list if under-age matches were included.

The success is for the senior teams only, On other teams, just League of Ireland teams is what would be looked for.

I have tried to Capitalised all of the letters but they seem always to go lower case.

Probably a forum filter to stop people SHOUTING in thread titles. Dahamsta may be able to whitelist UCD AFC if you ask him.

There's a history of the club published here (http://www.stigonline.com/ucd/history.htm) and an honours list here (http://www.stigonline.com/ucd/honours.htm).

Dead links, I'm afraid! The URL is no longer as it was (something Japanese, I think).

Did anyone migrate the content anywhere?

Came across this some time ago, on a blog (linked from somewhere on foot.ie) and stupidly overlooked making a note of the location.

2363

It's a combined UCD-Trinity team that played Bohemians in late 1930, apparently - and my interest is that I recognised Middle Row left Liam Honohan (previously of Melrose Celtic and later a senior civil servant).

Anyone got any other ideas in relation to names &c?

No ideas, but is this where you found it maybe?

34th Anniversary of FAI Senior Cup Final Replay Thursday May 04th 1984, Tolka Park. Goals from Joe Hanrahan first half (his nephew Ben scored last Tuesday for UCD at UCD Bowl; Keith Dignam's son Mark also played) and Ken O'Doherty 90+5' injury time goal gave UCD AFC a famous win.

At the beginning of 1983/84 Dermot Keely joined UCD's as Player/Manager from Irish League Glentoran. But after 8 games he left Belfield Park and joined Shamrock Rovers. In 2015 UCD hosted Liverpool as part of our 120th Anniversary. As a journalist Keely described Fans who attended as Morons. Martin Moran played in defence that day in 1984 and Managed UCD in UEFA competition in 2000.

UCD played three times at Tolka Park on that run Home Farm away in quarters, Waterford (neutral) in Semis and after 0-0 on FAI Cup Final Day at Dalymount Park we beat Shamrock Rovers 4 days later at Tolka Park. "Tolka!, Tolka! Tolka!". May The 4th Be With You!

Joe Hanrahan taking the lead against Shamrock Rovers.

UCD also hosted Everton FC at Tolka in the UEFA Cup-Winners-Cup 1st Round, 1st leg in September 1984.

Wonderfully researched article from Cian Manning and pogmogoal website from a year ago. Francis Obiakpani (outside left, centre-half) Medical Student who came to Ireland from Nigeria on a Nigerian Government Scholarship. 'Frank' won Collingwood Cup with UCD 1954. Played the original and replay of FAI Senior Cup game v Sligo in 1953 (replay was held at Milltown Stadium home of Shamrock Rovers). Transferred to Mercer Hospital, Dublin he won Hospitals Soccer Championship. Returned to UCD to complete his Anaethestic qualification and continued scoring. Also played with compatriot F. Ezemenari.
May have met a tragic end during Biafra conflict on the river Niger at Asaba city, Delta State, Nigeria. (Benin mentioned may be Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria).
