I'd say he's gutted at the moment. Just after breaking into the U-21s squad, and they get the best draw they could hope for (given that the U-21s draw is the same as the senior draw). Hugh Davey v. Gareth Barry in some decent English league ground live on Sky Sports...except...the North have of course withdrawn their U-21 team!!!

I think it was the 2008 European Championships qualifiers they decided not to enter; AFAIK, they will compete in the World Cup group. -

Just checked that on the BBC website - it was Euro 2008 they've pulled out of and they'll be in the 2006 World Cup! Excellent!Comment
