Without starting a debate on "ultras" etc just came across these photos from last week. I think it great lads are putting so much time and effort into adding colour and improving the atmosphere at LOI games

I agree, you can't have enough of it. Really adds to the atmosphere.

Great to see, should be encouraged by clubs not hindered.
The Forza Rovers lads do a great job and the Showgrounds would be a lot duller and quieter without them.
Im sure to they will add to the atmosphere at Tallaght tomorrow night aswell.

It is great to see around the grounds. Its also great to see the younger lads getting involved as making banners and singing at games gets them away from the large schooligan culture is getting lightly worse.

Absolutely, the schooligan element needs to be weeded out and displays like this are brilliant to see. Well done to all involved...

Once again in this debate im gonna mention flares,R.I.P,how i miss them,*sigh*.Yes theres a health and safety issue blah blah blah and yes i couldnt breathe standing beside one for 10 seconds once. However they do really add to an atmosphere. They should be allowed back with controls, specific section for them to be let off in etc.

Is the Shels pic a photoshop job? The history passion glory text doesnt look right

Eamo no would be bringing up flares if you didnt. Derrymac, is that some pathetic attempt at wind up? I can imagine Derry fans doing that actually so maybe thats where you're coming from.

Look at the picture. The white text of "history passion glory" seems to be above the level of the red banner it is supposed to be printed on. Maybe it is designed that way, but it does look photoshopped to me.

I thought they were just cut-outs?

Also, if you look very carefully at the bottom-right corner of the "Glory", the left-hand side of the "Passion" and the bottom-left corner of the "History" you can make out hands holding onto the edges of the signs.

It'd be a pretty impressive photoshop job, imo.

Although it looks like a photoshop it's not. This shows them making it. Nice display.

The letters were cut outs glued onto the red background. Its a great display. I think derrymac is just trying to wind us up.

No they weren't they were drawn and painted onto cardboard with the tops of the letters cut off to give it a more 3D look.

Hope there are better pictures to come of our display. We had a small allocation so couldn't do much but think it came off ok.

We all looked over at shams display aswell and it was somerthing else. Pictures around so far aren't doing what it looked like in the ground justice yet.

no it wasn't a windup... i think the displays look good. It was just that the letters looked weird. I apologise if you thought i was stirring.
