Will Mary Cullen be invited to a Rovers game. It would be good to recognise what she has achieved and allow the Rovers home support to acknowledge it.

Mary Cullen would make a bigger impression at a rovers match than the Sports Minister Martin Cullen.

I was just thinking of this today. It would be great to invite her to be guest of honour for a home game. Give her a lap of honour to show off her medal and take the applause of the crowd.
She deserves some recognition and it would be a nice gesture on the part of the club.

The Dundalk chairman, Padraig McGowan, is from Kinlough. Hope this helps.

Sligo Rovers are delighted to announce that top Irish athlete Mary Cullen will be their guest of honour at the club's upcoming League of Ireland game against St. Patrick's Athletic this coming Saturday night in the Showgrounds. Cullen, who is one of Ireland's premier athletes, recently took bronze in the 3,000m Final at the European Indoor Championships. She was delighted to be invited and is looking forward to attending the game on Saturday. The club is also inviting in the Sligo IT Men's Senior Soccer side who won the Umbro Colleges Cup last week. Cullen will be introduced to the crowd at half time and the club will also be making a special presentation to her. Kick-off is at 8 o'clock.
