So we're out of euro 2004, so lets look on the bright side a get well prepared for the world cup. I'm going to throw in my idea for the opening verse of the 2006 Irish football team song, all verses welcome.

Irish and proud to a man
All hoping to play in Deutschland
And make it we might
If we don't drop a ****e
So don't feckin pass to Kilbane

How's this for a chorus?

Still waiting for our new national ground
Lots and lots of money has been thrown around
Home games played before two men and a dog
Bertie Bowl Mark Four is to be built on a bog!
But we’re the Irish, hey, what do we care?
For Lansdowne read Glasgow - we’ll all be there!

 PP

Works for me Paddy
I've a new plan for home games.
Play them at Celtic Park, on leaving the ground throw Martin O'Neil in the kit bag. Qualification sorted. That man could make a player out of Eamon Dumphy

We're all part of Kerrs army
We're all off to Glasgow
And we'll really shake Keano up if we get to the world cup
Cos ireland is the greatest football team

(its a joke leave the tin of worms closed!)

The FAI been the wild rover for many's a year
and spent all our money on bu****** and beer
and now their left with no stadium to show
and its off to glasgow the supporters must go
Chorus:
NO NAY NEVER, NO NAY NEVER NO MORE, will i give the FAI money no never no more.
