TG4 i think, thats whats been mooted at the moment. RTE usually only cover the first 3 weeks of the season. Take it as TG4 for now

Any idea what the ratings are like this year? To be expected but the Rovers-Rovers game didn't make the top 20 last week.

Is it just me or should the televised game not be on the saturday or would it be too awkward? Ratings would be much higher because most LOI fans who would watch the live games can't, because they're watching their own team on the friday,when the live game is on.........

Rovers v Rovers got 109,000 or something along those lines, it was nearly double the audience of the Dundalk v Bohs game.

I don't think that's a major consideration, to be honest. How many people attend games on a Friday night, about 20,000? Even if half of them (optimistic) watched the televised game it wouldn't make much of an impression on the figures.
