It will surprise nobody who knows me that I've gotten hooked on this (if anything it may surprise them that it took this long!)...

Am I the only uber-geek on foot.ie who plays though? Surely not?

Their forums, by the by, I give a wide berth to, completely chaotic and full of tantrums and shouting. I suppose that's what happens when 15 and 16 year olds are given a corner of the internet to patrol by themselves.

Let's get the obvious out of the way

Your reactions, while predictable and lazy, have filled me with a desire to drag my two handed sword (with stamina enhancement) out and smite you both with it. :D

By the by, two handed sword is not referring to any part of my anatomy (as appropriate a term as it may be and all). :p

While just about avoiding total immersion in it myself I can understand why people get sucked in. Kinda addictive...

Fcuking WOW. I have battled with its addictiveness for over four years now. I play it non stop for months, cancel my account vowing never again only to renew it a few months later....

What server are you on SLK? They really have made if easy now though to get to level 80. They have nerfed so much of the game it is unreal.

Ah RonnieB, for some reason you strike me as the sort of person who has level 80 Death Knights galore about his account. :)

I'm pretty sure most of my playing is in Azeroth but I'd have to check to be sure. Only been playing since early January and haven't quite lost my soul to it, my chief character is only level 32. Finally finished Duskwood last night, was quite a moment for me! :o:p

No deathknights yet, I have to buy WOLTK yet :) Levelling a Paladin at the moment they are mobile levelling machines. Get yerself questhelper. It is a very handy addon.

Turns out that by Azeroth I meant Azuremyst! And at the moment there's no need for questhelper mostly because the person I usually quest with appears to have it or some variant so whenever we do get hopelessly lost they're able to come up with an answer fairly quickly.

You guys should hop on Azjol Nerub server, theres a handy amount of us irish on it atm. I was once lik yourself, only tapping away at the game, never getting "too" into it. Got sucked in then for awhile when I was left go. Suprisingly I've only got the 2 80's though.. Shazam is my main. Or bubbleoseven. Or Beamish.

Hurrah. My usual questing partner has vanished off the face of the earth in the last week or so. They could be waiting to renew their subscription, they could have died, they could have tired of my showboating in times of peril. Regardless, as questing alone is nowhere near as much fun once you've found a good group, I've managed to break the addiction (somewhat) just before the season starts again.

Actually I miss my Draenei mage buddy more than I'm comfortable admitting... :(:o:)
