View Full Version : Fahey scores for Birmingham

Straightstory

Keith Fahey got Birmingham's second goal in their win over Notts Forest.
Alex McLeish on Birmingham's website:

"If anybody deserves a goal for their performance it's him. He's so assured on the ball. I had to get him into the team because of his use of the ball and his vision. He's probably a central midfielder but we deployed him on the left and I thought he did really, really well."

Good to see him making progress.

How much did he go for in the end?

Great - The first goal for Fahey! I was really happy when I saw it yesterday in the liveticker.

Btw: Anywhere a video with his goal?

Saw the goal on Goals On Sunday, great goal but it was meant to be a cross.

No, but I saw it on Sky sports news this morning, would be a contender for goal of the month IMO. Delicate chip over the Forest keeper from an acute angle. If anyone can get a hold of it, its worth putting up.

I don't think so - he's scored crazy goals like that before:ball:

No chance it was meant to be a cross....that was a fantastic piece of brilliance.....no chance of any rish "scouts" at this match passing info back to Trappatoni.....sure we have Drren Gibson and Glenn Whelan not to mention Keith Andrews for their artistry on the ball!!....

Looks like a shot to me, was miles away from the man on the back post, no one in the middle.

Doesn't look like a cross. The way he hit it was more of a chip. Nice finish.

Thread should be closed or moved to World Football/Oireland IMO, no-ne who saw Fahey last year needs to know he scored in England to recognise he's a class player. But he's not involved in Irish football anymore.

In another thread they've provided a link

(And it wasn't that good a goal, he's scored at least 10 goals better for Pats)

Peach of a goal. Fair play to him.

Still think 300k is daylight robbery for a guy of his class.

Regardless of whether it was intended or nor it's nice to see 'our' boy making headlines. Long may it continue.
