Anyone know anywhere good to watch the Georgia on Wednesday? Missed the Rugby last night cause everywhere was either closed or didnt have Setanta. Dont want the same thing to happen for the Football.
Thanks

The Celtic Club on the corner of Queen Street and LaTrobe. It showed all the matches for the time I lived in Oz.

You might need to become a member though.PM me if you need anymore details

I was fearing the same predicament here in Sydney because the game isn't on Setanta but I've just found that it's on ESPN (coverage starting 6.30am). Any pub with FOXTEL will be able to show it and presumably any 24hr Irish one will.

Tea gardens in bondi junction should be packed for that 1, it opens at 7 midweek, so im sure you will find a few drinking partners in that mad camp!

yep i watched the ireland england match from Twickenham there in 2005 (maybe 06?) and that was a late one so i'd say it should do both alright...

I watched the Switzerland debacle of 2003 there, the same day Ireland had beaten Argentina in Adelaide in the RWC.
They used to charge for the Setanta games but as mentioned elsewhere it is being broadcast by ESPN (well it is in Africa so I assume it will be the same in Oz?) so pretty much anywhere with Fox and a willingness to stay open until the very early hours should have it. As a last resort I often used to try the Sports bar at the casino.

Yea its on ESPN here so if you can't find someone with foxtel to ming into their gaf to watch it, it should be on in the casino (although whether or not there's sound is another thing)... not sure if the Celtic club will open for it - but ring them & check - 96917444
Charles Dickens on (290) Collins St could be another possibility - 96541821
And since most of the hostels have foxtel these days you might be able to bail into one of them too

Cheers man will try them alright. The Celtic club was closed last Saturday night at 4.30am or so when i showed up to watch the Rugby...maybe they open early for Breakfast 2moro morning.
The staff at the Casino are the most unfriendly lot.. wouldn't bother their holes changing the channel last Saturday. Might be the same tommorow.
Getting a bit nervous about missing this one no sign of it yet up on the p2p site either.

Good shout on the Charles Dickens, it's a bit of a dump but it used to stay open for EPL games, give them a call but if you can round a few bodies up you should be able to convince them to stay open.
